And there are guilds that use Discord heavily and guilds that don't require it at all. There are more casual guilds and more hardcore guilds. Good variety of choices. If you have a guild that wants to benefit from an alliance without being told how to do things or being forced to move your people to other guilds, this is a good choice. My guild was very reluctant to joining an alliance out of those fears, and it's been hands off with stuff like that. We have full autonomy.
