I think that with the update, to get the new levels and the new gears the money is not very important, because to get these gears of 50 pieces is a lot of money to buy energy, if the drop rate is around 20%, to get 50 pieces is 250 attempts, so 2500 energy. To buy 2500 energy you need buy 50 + 50 + 100 + 100 + 100 + 200 + 200 + 200 + 400 + 400 + 400 + 800 + 800 + 800, I think these are the prices, it is 1680 energy, and the next day 50 + 50 + 100 + 100 + 100 + 200 + 200, it is 2500 energy.
It would cost 5400 crystals, so it is around 45 dollars to get one piece, so if a whale want get 5 pieces would be 225 dollars. If a whale buy 4600 crystals per day it is around 35 dollars per day, and around 3500 XP per day. So I think that to get the lvl 80 a whale needs spend around 700 dollars during 20 days, and with the gears will be around 1000 dollars.
Playing for free I can get 1500 XP per day and use 615 energy per day, to get 12 pieces per day, and I can get the lvl 80 in around 40 days. With the events I can get some gears without spend money and energy, for example one "Mk 6 Chiewab Hypo Syringe Salvage" per week, so after get the lvl 80 I will have 6 gears, and using the energy to get the gears would be another 10 gears, so for my 5 best characters I can get the full gears playing for free before get the lvl 80.
So the difference of a P2P player with a F2P player will be only 20 days, and the glory would be less than 20 days, because after get the lvl 72 or 73 a lot skills and gears will be available, in the lvl 76 more skills, so while the whales are in the lvl 76 maybe I am in the lvl 73 and it is not a big difference. when a whale arrives to the lvl 80, I will be in the lvl 75 and soon 76 where there are more skills and gears, so the glory of a P2P player will be very little.
The only big difference would be if a whale pay 2000 or 3000 dollars to get the lvl 80 and the gears in less than 10 days, but these very crazy whales are not very common.

Drop rate 20%. What is incorrect is that the +800 threshold is actually +900
LOL as F2P my higher buy for the normal energy is buy the 100+100+100, and I saw that the next is 200, too much. So the 3 next is 400 and the 3 next is 900?
Ah ok, then is 4 by 100, 4 by 200 and then 4 by 400 and 4 by 900?
