Gear prize box for gc?

Is it my imagination or did we use to get guaranteed good gear in galactic challenges? Now there are prize boxes with mk4 stun guns and other useless gear mixed in.

We got guaranteed good gear in some of them. In others the gear was trash. Now it looks like there will just be RNG every time.

The rewards are still the same

Yes, there is a chance to get mk 4 stun guns, but previously we've had GCs where CG gave us Mk 4 stun guns

Instead of rotating gear, they decided to randomize the same gear they were giving us

But the gear pool is the same (Mk 4 stun guns, Mk 5 stun guns, stun cuffs etc)

Its just as bad as it is good

You can get Mk 3 carbs back to back, likewise, you can get Mk 4 stun guns back to back

CG doesn't have to manually rotate the purple and gold gear every GC

It's functionally the same, while being fairly easier on the dev side. Don't really see any notable downsides unless you're one of those people constantly plagued by terrible luck.

Also, are zetas not guaranteed on T3? Every time I’ve simmed them, I’ve hit them. Am I just blessed?

It used to be that you could get 0-2 zetas, but they changed it to a guaranteed zeta instead because it just feels bad if RNG was bad and you didn't get anything

The zeta thing is different

There was a chance of getting 0 zetas

Here we are guaranteed getting gear, there is no chance of getting 0 purple or gold gear

If you're lucky you can get 10 stun guns from one GC

A small amount is better than nothing, monthly you get a bunch of gear, kyros and finisher pieces
