Has something changed with Reys damage immunity?

Over the last couple of days I've been having more trouble than usual against Rey teams in arena.
I try and whittle down their health to roughly 60%, so as not to trigger the damage immunity and then hit them with some big damage, usually Vader's saber throw or SEE's lightning storm. Ideally this will knock them out without triggering the damage immunity.
But lately it seems that when I give them the big hit, it brings them down to 50% health, triggers the damage immunity and the rest of the damage is negated.
Is this a new change, or WAI?

Nothing has changed and I have not seen any odd "damage being negated".
Team composition on both sides?
I was using SEE, Vader and sith triumvirate
Opponent was Rey, JTR, Res hero Poe, Raid Han and Hermit Yoda
