Guess I'll start spending crystals again. That was a bit of a letdown. Only prereq in this set that is a DS farm is Magnaguard, and it's also a 10e Cantina farm, so bit of a weird pick for double drops.

It's weird in the sense that of all the announced prereqs for JMK, only Magnaguard is a DS farm (and it's also a cantina farm). So I guess Yay? Double drops... but I don't see how it ties into JMK at all - unless Bo Katan is being added as a DS farm in the next couple of days.

I would have a different "random" algorithm..
When I hit shuffle on a playlist of music, it "randomly" shuffles the order.. But I don't want to hear the same band twice in a row, or eat the same flavor of Skittles twice in a row, I want "random" but not "true" random. True random is where you could possibly get the same artist twice or even 3 times in a row, or get the same flavor of Skittles, or as it relates to the game, gear/shards drop rate of 0%...

Double drops are a tool of mobile games to encourage spending by dangling the potential of Double the reward of the same cost of energy. But it's an old tool that backfires any goodwill when you get a 0/15. It's frustrating to go 0/15 attempts on Double Drops..
But oh well, for me and my opinion, it's a broken algorithm that is more about getting players to buy/spend crystals than a temporary "special offer" that could help players advance..

You may have a little misunderstanding here, true random has nothing to do with getting the same artist in that scenario. You are referencing probability with and without replacement.

No, that's not at all what it means. And you're using "broken" incorrectly anyway. "Broken" does not mean "something I don't like."
The odds aren't stacked against you. They're the same percentage chance for everyone, and if you hit that good side of the percentage, you get two of the thing instead of one.

As a player who seems to be writing off saving up or spending on energy, you dont seem to know what double drops mean.
At least that’s how it works for me. Sometimes I get more one than the other but over the different double drop events I have had some of all the chances.

It runs on the normal drop rate of the item you are farming, but by doubling what you would have gotten at a drop, it becomes disingenuous ??
