There were several leaked pieces of information on Reddit about ships being in the game. Also Biggs apparently has ship synergy due to his description. It's not a farfetched idea considering the iconic ships and vehicles in the franchise and all the pilots in the game. If only we knew how they would be placed in the game. As another slot in the normal fighting system or an entirely different mode for only ships. It's just speculation for now.

GOD I hope not...doesn't make much sense that an x wing fighter wouldn't single shot any character. Wait...it took 5 shots from an AT-AT to kill Yoda
