SLKR conquest boss. What am I missing?

I wanna try and power through him first so one of my attackers doesn’t fall to his ultimate. But when I mark him with Jedi revan, only my characters that can ignore taunt can still target him. Is there something I’m missing that makes the marked part of that ability on work?

I do not think SLKR can have a taunt effect applied to him.

This. SLKR can’t gain taunt effects and marked is a taunt effect.
