One small cPit change to make a huge difference

At the end of a run, “post”, “save”, “reset”

There have been many QoL changes recently…
One piece of feedback is that characters (in the squad menu) don’t “gray-out” when they’re used and no longer available when selecting TW, TB, GAC, Raid etc.

In cPit, or raids in general, allowing end of combat to “post” score to the raid… “save” so you could retry but wouldn’t lose the run if you couldn’t do better, “reset” to drop the run, and be able to immediately restart/replay. If the raid phase changes you could no longer “post” a “saved” run….

This doesn’t make the raid any easier whatsoever, it just allows players to play without the frustration of remembering to enter airplane mode, force closing the game and flipping around airplane mode, restarting the game, and don’t forget to restart airplane mode once you’ve started the raid, over and over again repeatedly until you’ve had a decent run, or pull your hair out frustrated and post whatever anyway…

The too slow to force close, forget to airplane etc frustration that occurs absolutely every cPit is completely unnecessary way to cheat the game, but this is the accepted standard of ‘how it’s done’.

The QoL updates have been great, I understand that the very negative feedback at cPit launch was very much heard, and that many difficult decisions had to be made on if or how to update cPit. No doubt this exact type of ‘fix’ was discussed and decided against, but seeing the QoL updates suggests that maybe it’s time to reconsider!!

  • It seems way too abusable. The “save” is COMPLETELY busted, and would probably be impractical to code, and post/reset could cause problems for lower-level guilds. If a guild has damage caps (which mine does), an offender could claim that they meant to press reset, which would give officers a headache deciding who to kick.
Sorry dude. In principle, it seems ok. Real-world-wise, nope.
