It would be great if a combat didn't count if no damage was done or turn completed. Crashing going into a fight almost always costs a round in GAC, costs more to climb in arena or draws ire from competitive guilds in TW. It is incredibly frustrating. I understand the difficulties preventing abuse once a combat round begins but not even getting a chance because the game locks up or drops out of memory shouldn't hurt a player or their guild.

Unfortunately from the server, it is likely impossible to tell a battle that crashes without a turn from one where airplane mode is used and then forced quit because you lost. In both cases, the server receives no additional information after the battle launches.
So, if you realize that you selected the wrong team before any turn was completed you'd have a chance to force-quit with no down side?
