New Player GAC defensive holds are too punishing

Defensive holds in GAC make that entire round really unfun. With so few fights in GAC, losing a fight in the front wall really hurts how much GAC you get to play that round. I think it's fun to attempt to fight the ultra strong team, but once I fail it I'd like to be able to progress the GAC and see how my other teams match up.

It'd be nice if the back walls exposure was based on attempting fights against teams instead of defeating them. I know I'll lose to banners since I get 0 from the fight I can't win and 0 points for the zone I can't clear, but I can at least have fun doing the fleet or fighting the backwall. Not sure if that's the right solution as I think it's fair for me to lose the GAC if I can't beat that team on the frontwall, but losing a strong team and the banner loss seems like it'd be enough.

If you get zero points you will still loose. Your opponent gets ~220 for making the attack that you didn’t. Just set a weaker defense made to steal points rather than hold and you will have enough firepower to clear everything on their defense.

This, you should work on your strategy or even mods and counter teams, if you are losing due to not winning battles.

I get that GAC is probably incredibly frustrating to a new player who doesn't have many teams. But the fact that back zones are locked and squad placement is part of strategy. As you expand your roster, you'll have more options in GAC.

Yes, I'm giving the feedback that in low divisions GAC battles against strong defenses are unfun. That's why I suggest a solution that would increase the chance at fun, without changing the competitive nature of GAC.

I agree, as you expand your roster and go up divisions, the experience changes. The intention of this feedback is to give CG feedback for improving the low division experience (where new players begin their GAC journey), not to provide feedback on the entire grand arena experience.

I believe I addressed this with the following quote in my original post:
"I know I'll lose to banners since I get 0 from the fight I can't win and 0 points for the zone I can't clear, but I can at least have fun doing the fleet or fighting the backwall. "

I understand that you addressed this. My point is that you can attack the back wall and fleet AND win with some strategy changes.
