Save crystals or gamble?

So I had a gift card on my account and I have been playing this game A TON recently. I bought a ten dollar pack plus what i already had for a total of 1.6k crystals. How would you suggest I use them? Make a gamble on a 4 card chromium pack? Or be patient and save for an 8 pack? Or just keep them around incase they may come in handy? Any advice?

I think youre right. Last time i tried a chromium pack i got a 4x and only snagged shards for terrible heroes haha. Unless i can be convinced other wise im likely going to save up.
