We have some video game characters, and a character from novels, so I'm guessing it'll be a comic character. Quinlan Vos was popular way back in the EU prequel days in the comics, and he only got a "Master Vos" basically Easter egg in the movies.
He got at least 1 episode of Clone Wars, maybe more, I forget.
I think it will be a Video Game character from a game owned by Lucas Arts or EA.
I think that is where all of these have to come from because of legal issues.
It can't be from some book that was written by another author.
Has to be something Lucas or EA owns per some other thread I read about why Revan was allowed in the game as a Non-Canon character originally. (EA owns him)
I’m guessing we’re getting Emperor’s Hand Mara Jade, so if that happens it would make sense for the other character to be dark side, so that there’s 2 light and 2 dark. It also doesn’t seem like anyone from the Old Republic era would really fit, since all the characters up till now have been from around the time of the Original Trilogy. So maybe Gilad Pellaeon? Or Joruus C’baoth, or another dark side character from the OT era.

Well I dont think content is a fair judge of things. Boba Fett has been one of the most popular characters for 30 years and the guy had 3 minutes of screen time and spoke 4 sentences. Sometimes looking cool is all that matters.

It's just dumb, and more importantly inconsistent because there was no over-arching plan to the star wars sequel trilogy so when they would try to explain Kylo or Rey, it'd be undone in the next movie.

I thought they were talking about GLs, not the new characters. I assumed the 2 were Kenobi and Vader, and the 3 were some upcoming GLs.
