Kashyyk: old republic simple trick fail

So I have completed this event using only basic attacks and no other button abilities multiple times with variable teams in an effort to achieve "Simple Tricks I" to no avail. I have tried variable levels in the field and still cannot achieve this feat. Is there a reason this is not working?

I've had the same issue as Tragamite1. I cleared the feat up to tier six, but using auto on basic only doesn't work on tier seven or higher.

You will both be using GAS, I expect.

When GAS uses his basic, he follows up with his special. The feat will work fine if you don’t use GAS.
