Grand Arena is GARBAGE!!!

Grand Arena is no longer fun or fair, it is absolute garbage. I no longer know what it is based on. Obviously not your GP as we are faced with players 2-3 million more GP. Really, I am mean REALLY??? Some say its is based on your skill...... skill.... um skill. What skill do you have against fully geared, and fully maxed GL... plus 1-3 mil more GP than you. I have nothing left in my roster to match these people... skill, really... skill???? To my surprise (not really), I could not become victorious. This game is starting to become crap, upon more crap, and then some more crap... but hey, they made a bunch of money!!!

If you are facing ppl 1-3M, they either really don't try or, you've been doing really well and are facing ppl around your skill level. You've been rewarded with your previous matchups, and probably have moved up a league so you're getting better daily crystals.
Also, no one is forcing you do join GA if you think it's becoming stupid. You also can just do your first battle and call it a day.

A score that initially was based on gp, and then go up if you win and down if you lose.

Matchmaking is not based on skill. It's based on Skill Rating which is a completely different thing. The initial seeding was based on total roster GP. From there on only wins, losses and which of 12 rounds in a season they happened in affects skill rating (along with some end-of-season adjustment/squish). As time goes by the initial seeding by GP becomes less and less significant.

If you're facing players with 2-3 Millions additional GP it means you've been far more successful than they have so far. Is this your profile (name and GAC brackets indicate it could be):

If it is it shows that you usually win 1 round every GA using a roster which (until you unlock SLKR) is pretty far from optimal for GAC. I don't really see a problem here. What did you expect?

I understand arguments saying "You get much more Crystals than you would normally get". I get it. But that's not the point. The point is to have FUN. I really like GAC, utilizing your roster, finding counters and sometimes win matches that are almost impossible. This Skill rating system is good for Kyber Divison only, that's it.

But - How can you compete with someone who has 1 or 2 more GL's than you do and another maybe 20-25 more Relic Characters than you do. It's impossible. It's not Fun anymore, it's just Frustrating.
I don't mind loosing, as long as I have fun and it's reasonably fair.

I am just loosing interest in the game as it's pointless to play GAC.
Btw - I am in Aurodium 2 with 3.5m GP account.

Assuming you can't win vs more GLs is absolutely flawed logic.

Seems a lot of you have given up before the match even starts.

I totally agree with the initial comment here, it used to be fun and apparently I moved up a division (bronzium 4) whenever that was, however since then I have no chance, I have 3 G13 toons yet every round i now face 20 G13 toons with multiple zetas, I never win, no surprise there! Last season I won some, I lost some, don't really mind losing but there's literally no FUN anymore when I know I can't possibly win, it's like a huge step forwards for where my roster is and like I say, no chance whatsoever to win. I even mentioned this in my guild today and got told best way was to not enter and get dropped a division, fair comment and I'll be doing that now just to have a fun fight again win or lose rather than this ... sorry to say but utter pointless waste of time even attempting it! I feel for the initial poster as I think I'm in the same boat, just wanna have fun and maybe a slight chance of winning ... or even taking one enemy toon down would be nice but it genuinely feels like there's no point in attempting it ... or I wouldn't make this post. I'm not a bad loser, losing is how you learn imo but it'd be nice for the gap to be closer so it seems somehow, fair
