Do other people sim 5 battles at a time and get zero shards 50% of the time?!?! That didn't happen to often for a long time but now it seems to happen ALL THE TIME! It makes playing seem like a waste of time!
It's common knowledge at this point that if you don't squint your left eye when hit the sim button 50% of the time you'll get 0 shards. That's why SWGoH needs access to your camera on your phone, so they can make sure you're squinting your left eye and not your right eye. You don't even want to know what happens when you squint your right eye.
F2P since the last time I bought Kyros, Crystals, or the Conquest Pass.

“I think” is 100% anecdotal. I’ve been getting 2/5 some days, 5/5 other days, occasionally 0/5. In the long run still probably around the 30% drop rate that’s expected.
I went 1/15 yesterday with Boushh Leia. Waiting for the opposite one day.
Is the opposite 15/1?
Although LordDirt has been round long enough to be talking tongue-in-cheek, I fear that for some people the "opposite" of 1/15 is 14/15. Which, of course, would be a failure to understand the Mathematics.
The chance of getting 1/15 is about 1.82%. The chance of getting 9/15 is roughly the same (2.1%) and I would recommend considering that as the "opposite". After all, getting 1/15 and then 9/15 means 10/30 which would be bang on the expected result.

It was a joke. I was trying to put some humour in this old discussion.
OK at least I know it's not just me. CG should loosen the lasso a bit. It would entice dedicated players to keep playing!
It'll never even out in the same amount of time at any rate. several years playing (started before thrawn came out i think) and have never ever even gotten close to 15/15 in one day. I'll get a 5/5 maybe once every 4-6 months.

15/15 is NOT evening out a 0/0
10/15?
Why wasn't Cobb Vanth shards a reward for the Krayt Dragon raid? Why wasn't Endor Gear Luke shards a reward for the Speeder Bike raid?

In the end, there is nothing more one can do, except keeps hitting that sim button everyday.
Complaining, trying to understand the math (the probability), quitting etc etc don't help.
Just enjoy the game and be patient without thinking too much about how unlucky you are.
Do that everyday and you will have fun

It only isn't because the odds of getting 5/5 shards is lower than 0/5. You don't seem to have an equal chance of all 6 results, like rolling a die. If you roll a die, your odds of rolling 6 5x in a row is the same as rolling 1 5x in a row, but what should be an even roll is heavily weighted against you. It's why everyone gets 0/5 substantially more often than 5/5.

It happens.
No
Now I know why this guy is so angry:
Other days you're the bug and sometimes the windshield.
I went 0/5 on my second refresh of Boushh this morning.

THAT's what I was doing wrong... I was yelling "SPELUNKY!"
