Hi all, I suppose we are all aware how the MM is done and overall I think it does not create a great playing experience; except maybe at Kyber level ? Anyway I am just wondering if there is any thought about this on CG side ?

Man, I can only speak for chromium, but I am 4.9M GP, I have kenobi and slkr, and I regularly face guys 6M-7M+ GP. Occasionally, I face a guy with 4M GP, and this week, there is a guy with 7.8M GP and 4 GLs (haven’t faced him yet, and I probably won’t, because I lost 1st round to a 7M GP guy.)

Just out of curiosity, do you like the current MM for GAC? And if so, what league are you in?

I see ; I am on Aurodium atm soon relegated with my 4.6m PG and meagre 1 GL 😅. Still wondering given the high number of negative feedbacks if it can change someday

How many giving the 'negative feedback' understand the full picture? How many played for a serious amount of time under the old system and care for the players that suffered under the old system? I'd say very few.

Last time I took the time to look at somebody's account that was complaining about GP mismatches; I counted 2 maybe 3 matches in 30 that were unwinnable losses.

If you're facing a player with a large GP advantage, there's a reason for that.

I'm in Aurodium 2, started in Aurodium 3. Made it as high as Kyber 3 before Kyber started shrinking. I winning a lot less than I did in the old system and..............I'm loving it. The best arena and the best time I've had in SWGOH...........5v5 anyway.

Well I am in Aurodium now 5 coming from 3 on last season but I just had 6 games in a row I absolutely can’t win (from 2.4 to 4m GP difference and GLs from 1 to 3) so it is just not fun. Probably a bad serie or maybe I should just be in Chromium

Well a few things.

1. Kyber is shrinking, so Aurodium is becoming harder and harder.

2. CG are never going to match with GLs.

3. The higher you are from your starting division, the more players can use their GP against you. So the harder matches you'll get until you're pushed back to where the game wants you. The further you fall, the less GP can be used against you.

4. All in all you'll win roughly as much as you'll lose; and hopefully this shrinking Kyber problem will eventually get fixed and give us back a bit more stability in Aurodium.

Thanks for your insights. How comes Kyber is shrinking ? I don’t get it. Otherwise yes I was kind of pushed up to Aur3 last time from Chromium so it’s hard. Still a pity we don’t have a better mechanism. It was much more fun when your top 50 or top 60 etc was considered and matched

I'm new to this game but basically came here to say I've played a lot of these games and the matchmaking on this one is the worst. I'm seriously wondering if I want to go any further down this RA it hole knowing this.

Ok, so I’m not sure if the devs see this forum or not, but I just need to vent. I absolutely love this game, but I can’t stand the matchmaking for Grand arena. I am 3mil GP, I know thats not a lot. I just recently started investing time into this game. But I am stuck at Carbonite 2. And I still face players double my GP with 2 or more Galactic Legends. How is that ok? Currently my opponent is at 5.9mil GP and he has one Galactic Legend. How am I supposed to challenge that! If you’re out there reading this devs, PLEASE make a percentage cap on the GP over and under of opponents you face in Grand arena. If I were in Chromium or Aurodium at 3 mil gp I wouldn’t be upset at all by getting my cheeks clapped. But in Carbonite 2? C’mon…

There is no "matchmaking".... Player skill level goes up and down based on their wins and losses... If you are facing a player that has a much superior roster to yours then that means they are either very bad at the game or they have "lost" a lot due to lack of participation...
