As I have said many times, I spent when I first started playing the game b/c I believe in supporting the artists who create the things we love, but I only did that once, and I also took a break from the game, so I know that my 9.6M -- aided by 20 or 25 bucks long ago -- is still a reasonable proxy for the approximate amount one could accomplish if you started in the first half of 2016 with my level of effort. And since I know that my level of effort has always been pretty pathetic in Squad Arena & GAC, I know that there are people who started in a similar time frame, played entirely free to play, and achieved far more than i.
I respect you quite a lot for doing what you've done. MaruMaru - you as well.
Thanks. In a similar metric I have a 5-6 months break period around haat release times. I miss raids most of the time and I generally play in a calculated(gear tracking etc.) but relaxed manner if I don't have time. So it makes perfect sense the amount SlowEagle has been ahead of me which I have been watching for years now how he progressed vs. how I did. Ofc disbelievers can freely do so for entirety of us. Completely irrelevant for someone that can gauge the situation directly from within in comparison to others in same situation. I'm at 10.085 gp rn.
At request of some non-believers, I even recorded a live chat with EA when I crossed 10M GP, so an EA representative confirmed 0 spent ever on my account.
Go ahead and post it.
it’s an embarrassing video
the video was him begging customer support to say he never spent a dime in the game so he could prove it to people online
and the customer support rep said he didn’t afterwards
I mean he’s trying to provide good customer support so of course he’s going to comply with sloweagle’s
request after how much he’s talking about wanting to prove to people online lmao
Besides asking EA customer support doesn’t really prove anything

Interesting. The EA rep also wouldn't have access to whether $$$ was spent on 3rd party services related to SWGOH, like Peempo or HotUtils. Welp, I was just curious what the chat was like, and whether there was a good reason for it, like whether I should do the same when the time comes.

Out services are not relevant to being f2p in the game, it has no impact in roster progression. I considered hotutils quite a few times, didn't do it, but might do if I desire to.

It can, yet it's still not spending in the game and has nothing to do with whether one is f2p in the game or not. Watching youtubers or being a good strategist can also have an impact on it. I've been using grand ivory forever manually. That's why I considered paying for hotutils. I made my own settings dilligently over time. But then each time(every 1-2 months) I have to move around 600-700 mods.
Can everyone refer to the first post and not post off-topic please? Read the part in bold specifically. I doubt having to report what will possibly last in pages off-topic to moderation when moderation is also doing the same thing.

Yeah I didn't address only you. But we know how this had gone numerous times now. If what's off-topic here is of interest to anyone, they can make a topic exactly about that which I will be happy to address over there.
Wow this is crazy to me. I still have 98 characters under g12 with another 15 to unlock. Go go gadget Maru
Thx. Sloweagle already completed it for the unlockables/farmables. I paused it since everything that currently possibly has impact are done. Focusing on increasing g13 count. You'll be surprised how fast it goes when your leftovers keep dwindling down and how things shift to g12+ gear priorities.
It can, yet it's still not spending in the game and has nothing to do with whether one is f2p in the game or not.
So spending money to help with SWGOH is not spending money on SWGOH? I disagree. Seems like something up to discussion.
Ok, but please make a topic about what you think these terms mean, what is eligible given that you are so interested to discuss it. This topic is for gear states progression of f2p. It doesn't matter if anyone believes anyone here is f2p either. Then take that disbelief to it's own topic too.
At request of some non-believers, I even recorded a live chat with EA when I crossed 10M GP, so an EA representative confirmed 0 spent ever on my account.
Yeah, non-believers can choose to disbelieve. It was one of their guys who asked me to get on with EA chat to do this. Now after I did it, they considered it as a customer service. Maybe they expect to be rewarded with this kinda of service when they paid a lot? Before today, I never thought there could be this customer service angle to doubt. 😂 To be honest, seeing those nonbelievers actually does make me feel better about keeping going with the effort, it is like achieving something those believe as impossible.

Yeah, one of my guild mates did joke that I am buying a new iPhone in order to play swgoh without crashing made me not f2p anymore.
I think @MaruMaru just wants to make it more relevant to the topic here about roster progression without in game spending. Obviously spending outside the game like phone purchase, third party services might impact it too (ie, crashing less, less time spent etc), FWIW, I do not use those paid third party services like mod, conquest either, but I do continue to upgrade my iPhone, and heck I once paid for inflight wifi in order to make my arena payout or do TW battles too, and that definitely is a spending that helped swgoh. 😂 Not that I can or need to prove that to anyone either. 😂

It's typical no true scotsman fallacy. When one wants to believe something is as such, they start moving the goalpost forever until claiming it's not knowable at all. See now how it went to outside of game spending. Next time you'll need to contact sigsig to prove you never paid him and all the mod services one by one, also no donations on swgoh.gg? But then you can't prove that you never slipped a dollar to a cg employee on the street either.
On the other hand I watched you ever so slightly get more ahead of me gp-wise over the years. I can't %100 attend everything game has to offer. So the extension of that difference was superbly normal. There wasn't a single time you suddenly started putting on more meat. I gotta congratulate you for the level of obsession you've done this for 8 years xD.
I am probably relatively quite high on the max f2p ladder, but we have no way to specifically see this. Either case there is a lot of f2p that I know that still sustainably build up when we move the threshold a bit lower (around 9.5m gp). Imo what the naysayers need to understand is, this high is only possible for always arena farming f2p that also started close to the beginning of the game. So quite a small portion. 2-3 years later startering arena farming f2p? They should also have quite hefty competetive accounts as well. We are just seeing a gradient of what game had dumped freely on players in %90+ maxed conditions (specifically the arena bit) over the years. Given we keep playing the same way I'll never be able to catch you and so does the f2p peep a bit below me.
@MaruMaru a side topic. What do you mean using grand ivory manually? I thought it was part of paid Hotutils service that I am not a subscriber. 😂 I have never used grand ivory. My mod configuration is pretty static other than the occasional mandatory TW or TB manual remod.

No, it was integrated in that way much later I think (a few years later). You can use it as a website that will pull all your mods equipped. Then you order them in any order you want in the right column (you can leave stuff out too). You can use premade templates for values you desire or make up your own, it has quite complex functionalities in there. The very first time you do this take quite a lot of time since you are preparing for what you want. Any time afterwards it gets quiet easy. You generally end up locking most of the toons you like where they are at and only work with some new priorities or priority shifts. And then every few months I entirely remod the roster since too many new mod developments have happened and what I was ok with on primary toons can now get better (maybe, it will tell you what it is suggesting).
What hotutils membership at some tier (I think it was the 2nd tier or maybe the most expensive) is after you are ready with your templates, it does all the remodding by logging into your game. This is ofc a huge timesaver compared to the way I use it. And if I was using hotutils to do this, I would remod more frequently.
I use hotutils with it's free functions mostly to track particular farming if there's any or to note how much of core gear I have left. I also use swgoh events gear to do my particular tracking. I also used it for this topic instead of doing it like you do (put gear on immediately as they arrive, right?)
IPD is one of those that I always wish I had done, but that never reached the top of the priority list.
Wonder how it functions on Dathomir in TB, now that I think about it. Does it constantly resurrect like everyone else? Reading its kit it certainly seems like that would happen if you add the Omi. That would be fun with DV, I have to say.
Sooo I'm done...almost. There is a single stun gun slot left on the elf jedi, should be done in a few days. I've just let it be since people will claim "but it's not all", "it doesn't matter" yada yada anyways.

I sometimes go scuba diving which made my roster better. It costs a lot.

Good pointer. I always ended up skipping it somehow. Yea I luv my aphra team and have both omis.

I'm struggling to get everyone to g11 as a prelude to getting everyone to g12. This is still going to take a while for me.
