Why does Luke not have an Xwing?

Why does THE quintessential, OG Star Wars fighter pilot not have his X-wing? They could easily make a Journey out of it, even give the Xwing to Farmboy Luke to make him relevant again/give homage to Luke's piloting in A New Hope. It's beyond overdue, Luke's fighter should have been the first ship in the game honestly. Luke's Xwing was even in the Mandalorian, no excuses anymore make it happen EA/CG!

I’m going with the theory that it’s been ready to go for years, but every time it gets mentioned in the forums they push the rollout back a month. So we’re looking at middle of 2032 by rough estimate.

Because Rey needs to get his X wing first, just like han where Rey got his falcon first

Pretty sure it’s bc uncle owen won’t let him go to flight school.
