Bahahhahahaha did disney learn nothing from the failed sequel trilogy? The answer is yes! They learnt nothing, movie is even being made by a person who has 0 notable movies under their belts. Can't wait for it to crash and burn its going to be absolutely hilarious 🤣
I honestly don't know how much money the sequels made but I'd imagine that's the barometer of whether they were a failure or not - irrespective of fan sentiment.
Its quite sad that it made as much money as prequel and the fact that rise of skywalker was beaten in box office by movies like captain marvel, spiderman far from home, frozen 2, lion king, joker and didnt even make half as much as avengers end game. You would think disney would try to move on from the sequels trilogy but nope

Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens : Gross worldwide $2,071,310,218
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi: Gross worldwide $1,334,407,706
Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker: Gross worldwide $1,077,022,372
Total of just in the theaters: $4,482,740,296
So 4.5 billion is a failure to you? Now factor in sales and rentals, and all merchandise.
Why wasn't Cobb Vanth shards a reward for the Krayt Dragon raid? Why wasn't Endor Gear Luke shards a reward for the Speeder Bike raid?
I see potential in the movies. We all knew they were going to make a new sequel movies. It will really depend on the direction the movies go. I wasn't a fan of the last 2 so the bar of expectations for me is pretty easy to beat.
The actors and the new characters were the strongest parts of the sequels. I’d love to see what they could do with Rey using some actual planning and a unified vision.
Didn’t george lucas say he only wanted 12 movies or am i remembering incorrectly?
There is some outline somewhere where he had 12 movies at one point. However, it didn't really have anything in it and the plot of A New Hope was listed as episode 6 or 7, so obviously that outline was canned as soon as he made the second movie. For a long time the rumor mill had the 9-12 movie outline as something that was hard set as Lucas' intention, even though by that point he was on record as saying he was only going to do the 6. The prequels came out and I feel like it was maybe getting more accepted that the movies were complete.
Well, technically George was done, but Disney then resurrected the idea of 7,8,9. Whether Disney will decide to make three more in the saga (with episode titles and opening crawls) remains to be seen (my impression is the announced Daisy Ridley film is a side project like R1 or Solo).

News flash. Disney isn't making sequel stuff for 43 year old basement dwellers. They're doing it to expand their market.
2) we’ll also never know how many posts you’ve made, since you conceal your true identity by not revealing your ally code.
You are perfectly entitled to your opinion about the trilogy and characters within it - just as I’m perfectly entitled to ignore it.
Shame this didn’t last longer
Nah just came back to tell this hilarious news not related to the game as you see
I don't know that you throwing a tantrum because Disney is producing content where you aren't the target demographic counts as "hilarious news".
MMMMMM.... "Stargueritas"

Thanks!
Sounds like a new storyline
