Double Drop Confusion. What is the end date now?

From the original Road Ahead, it was posted that double drops began on 5/4 and run through 5/7.
We are also celebrating May the Fourth with double drop events!
Start: 05/04/2023
End: 05/07/2023

But according to the Hot fix post, double drops were extended to 5/7.
In today’s hotfix we will be addressing these 3 things:
* Extend Double Drops - Will now be on 5/7 (This upcoming Sunday)

So what's the story? Is it extended a day to 5/8 (Monday)? Or was the Road Ahead wrong?

    Road Ahead was misleading
    "End: 05/07/23" meant ending in the start of the 7th.

    So now it will end at the start of the 8th.

    Yes, 2 days and 5 hours left with 5 hours being until it becomes the 6th where I live.

    So what Potato said is right

    That just feels like another "your rewards will remain the same" lie like the raid rewards.

    That’s what I see in game. If it gets cutoff at the end of the 7th, that would be a lie.

    Knowing CG it ends tomorrow and they'll defend it by saying we didn't put the year in so you shouldn't have assumed it was for 2023 dates

    The original post says it will end on the 7th.... It will end on the 7th...

    It originally ended on the start of the 7th. It will now end at the start of the 8th. In other words it has been extended to include the 7th instead of ending at the very start of the day.

    The hotfix that says double drops has been extended to include the 7th.

    When you log in and click the event button on the right, how many days does it say is left for double drops?

    It doesn't. That's the point.
    The 7th was never included originally.

    The make good extended it by a day, so it now includes the 7th.

    It was 3 days, now it's extended.to 4.

    It now ends 24:00 on the 7th.
    Or 0:00 on the 8th if you prefer.

    I get that the original date was the 6th and they extended to the 7th.

    But the Road Ahead said the 7th.

    Just trying to point out the misleading information that CG's "lack of communication department" is pushing out.

    When you advertise the 7th as the end date and you change it to the 6th without announcement other than the in game message and then "extend it" to the 7th because of issues - that just smells. Original end date should have been the 7th to match the road ahead and extended to the 8th. Or CG should have communicated that the road ahead was incorrect.

    Ultimately my point is CG originally advertised the 7th as the end date. To change it to the 6th and extend it to the 7th is misleading and give all of the issues of the last few days leaves a bad taste in my mouth
