Double drop droid brain only if Rex or Kneesa at 7 star

So you can only get the double drop on droid brain if you have either Kneessa or Rex at 7 star. But the double drop for either happens together. Why even bother if you’re not a whale already having either on 7 star, cause the double drop event will not help anyone for the droid brains.
But anyways -thanks for the double drop on Kneesa and Rex. Sad about the droid brains (. These i actually needed) but oke

It's bonus drops on droid brains - not double drops. Semantics aside, you could always buy some rex shards with crystals and try to get him 7* before the end of the event. I feel like this is an effort to give something to the folks that have already spent money on kneesa and/or rex - I'd be pretty irritated if I whaled on one or both of them and a couple of weeks later CG started giving the shards away for free. This way those folks get something too, aside from just SSC.

100% agree. Im sure there are players that were really on the fence about grinding out Kneesa and/or Rex but they did it anyways and this is a nice little bonus that should make them feel good about their decision.
As much as I'd love droid brains too I didnt farm the characters so I dont deserve them.

Yeah, I think that's pretty fair too. You're either getting Rex/Kneesa shards, or you already have them (note you only need ONE of them to 7* to qualify), and you get droid brains. Not something I'd criticize CG for, personally, and I've been known to do my fair share of criticizing CG. Overall I think it is a really well designed bonus event.

I also wouldn't mind it if they did the bonus shard/double drops before the droid brains, to incentivize more people to spend crystals/money on rushing them to 7* specifically so they can participate in the droid brain drops, but I'm also pretty content with the current setup.

i wouldn't either, drop rates are probably going to be bad and not worth spending the crystals.

Depending on how much you spend on extra energy, it could be cost effective because you won’t have to pay to refresh their nodes afterwards while you do it for Scout and Drogan; or if you want to use them asap. I’m looking at you, Rex.
