Pretty Self explanatory. If you have a GL Tix farm active, the drop rates on Captain Rex (if you have an LS GL Ticket Farm active) or Princess Kneesaa (if you have an DS GL Ticket Farm active) are ridiculously broken (you get a lot more character shards) compared to no GL Ticket Farm.
Examples below from a guild mate

Additionally I have 2 accts that reinforce this
Acct 1 - GL Tix for LV running whole time. Got 271 Shards of Princess Kneesaa with 9 refreshes for 3 days.
Acct 2 - GL Tix for JTH running for 1 1/2 days. Got 155 Shards of Princess Kneesaa for 9 refreshes for 3 days. After the Tix farm finished here, the drop rates reduced signifigantly compared to acct 1
with same energy spend, i could understand some variance to RNG (10-30 shards). but the difference is not 116 shards. There has to be another factor involved.
Support tickets have been lodged by other players I know, and support have said we should post here and closed the ticket.
How is it fair that people who have GL Ticket farms active get more shards?
Thanks

From how many SIMS?
There is also a good screenshot on Answers. 12 battles and 13 shards. Probably if you are farming GL tickets you get a second chance, hence the higher drops.
it scales on energy, not number of battles
lol of course people reported it
i'm not even benefiting from this
Yeah, kind of a bummer. Just let people enjoy the bugs that work in their favor.
Perhaps give everyone 6 or even 7 star Rex and Kneesaa would be fair.
not like they would be fixing it on time, but i would like to have those extra drops as well ngl
Admittedly alot, I'm not sure, but I noticed it was about a slightly better than 1/4 to less than 1/2 drop rate, anecdotal, but I had good drops.
Certainly not impossible, but also certainly not worth their time.
No, I assume it'll be fixed for next time though. And I wouldn't expect them to do anything about it either. If you happened to be farming a GL then lucky you. For the rest of us... well, I still got a whole buttload of Rex shards so I'm plenty happy.
You mean when you saw they have the same drop rate of roughly 3%?
I really appreciate the fast info. (Frankly even if you just jumped on to say it would take 2-3 days but you're looking at it and wouldn't be able to come to a conclusion until after the event, I still would have been fine with it. The communication is lovely and helpful.)
Such a quick response, wow! Boy, that's just a straight shooter with upper management written all over him.
If there is nothing out of the ordinary, how is this possible, 7 bonus shards in 5 battles. Happy for my guildmates. Because of this inequity, people were easily able to 7* Crex or Kneesaa which means additional opportunities at droid brains in cantina.
I'm sure they can track how many shards you got this week and when you had GL tickets farm active, if anything give those who don't have an active GL farm from that side get double the shards.
IE if you farmed rex with no lightside tickets and got 112 shards, you now get 224 shards.
that is a lie
I dont think it is. I have never seen someone getting more GL Ticket drops than tries. Why should it be different for extra drops, which have the same workflow
They never said the chances were tied to battles- it scales to the energy spent. For all we know, there was a higher % chance for energy spent than usual for this event, thus making it possible to get 7 shards in 5 battles
That makes no sense. The drop rate is tied to node energy cost, the drop quantity is limited to 1.
How do you know that? Did they say that for this specific event? They said they looked into it and nothing is wrong. Maybe for each 1 energy spent there is 10% chance for a shard (or any other percentage), giving you the possibility of obtaining multiple shards for each "pull" of a 10 energy node. The point is we don't know the mechanics behind this specific event, and there's no way to say for sure it isn't different than past events. Maybe they wanted people to unlock these 2 toons quickly? who knows
Look, I always grant that CG can do whatever it wants, but there has been zero indication that they have changed the super basic way that drops have always worked in this game for this one specific event.
What we do know, without a doubt, is that the drop quantities are listed on the node and there are varying drop rates for those quantities. If it says 1 drop, there is a 0% chance that you will get more than that per attempt. It's just how the game has always worked. If you want to make something up to account for the fact that people doing GL farms were getting extra drops and not a single person not doing a GL farm got extra drops, then sure.
