Need Help in Proving Grounds for Maul (battling Phoenix)

I am totally unnerved, I just can't beat the Maul PG against Phoenix (and also not the Tie Interceptor-PG and Darth Malgus-PG) in Proving Grounds.
This is setting me back month by month.
When I read about Proving Ground, they say you can beat Maul with any GL, except SLKR, but I have JMK and I get defeat after defeat!
I should have the necessary pieces in my roster, but I just can't beat it.
Please advice me what exact composition to use with characters from roster.

How long until you unlock CAT? Being able to insta-kill Malgus and Maul makes it easier to mop up the rest

Maul wont be targetable immediately anyway if I remember correctly

I am currently at 288/330 for CAT so 3 more Proving Grounds. I am also talking about the PG for Maul, against Phoenix

You should be in luck then! Padme is actually one of the best squads for that one. I always struggled on that one because I don't have Padme to relics yet (the rest of the squad is, but she's been parked at g12 forever) and my only GL is SEE, so had to 1* it every month. The links I sent you should in DM should be helpful, and it does list the Padme squad as one of the option.

Thanks a ton for the help I managed to 3 star the Maul PG with Padme, JKM, GK, JKA, Snips after 10 unsuccessful runs. Now it will be just 14 months till i can finish Maul ..

What a pain! What for? What does CG get out of it? I had all the pieces, whaling wouldn't have helped me a bit. What is the point to make it so freakishly difficult?

Wasn't it advertised as a catch-up event for people like me who were still below 4m GP when Maul was actually in Conquest?

Posting this here for future reference for anyone struggling against the Phoenix squad in PG. I got 3 stars using GI Inquisitors.

I agree and I would understand their approach if there were packs to purchase the shards all the time. Then it would be your choice:
1. Build a team that can handle the event and wait 15 months or...
2. Spend the money on packs to buy the character now
