Nothing new here. Find a map, two bad guys, pull a person back into the group, another person lives after getting stabbed by a lightsaber. Hopefully it gets better but these shows are all following the same pattern and feel like we are going the MCU route of copy and paste. Wish Disney had the guts to make new SW content but it seems they are too afraid of **** off the base like TLJ did.
Why wasn't Cobb Vanth shards a reward for the Krayt Dragon raid?
Fetch quest 2.0 honestly. Really disappointed with the show, prison ship with no escort transporting highly valuable prisoner stops and lets a ship with jedi codes board it, and takes in 6 dude with holstered pistols to confront them? How did these incompetent geniuses over throw the empire?
And oh look another person getting stabbed by a lightsaber and surviving it, loghtsaber wounds are now like the flue, you get it, sleep it off and wulah you are as good as new, unless you are a jedi and than you will die 100%
Maybe I missed something but Im very seriously confused about the main plot devices here.
Rebels ended with Ezra warping Thrawn and himself into parts unknown using space whales never to be heard from again. The Ahsoka show begins 3-4 years later with her trying to find both people and in order to do that she needs a star map. As far as I recall that is 100% accurate.
This show begins by telling us that the Nightsisters (that Thrawn has never seen or probably even heard of) built a temple "centuries ago" for the sole purpose of housing a starmap that would lead to Thrawn today...****?
The nightsisters built a map that leads to where the whales jump to I think not to thrawn directly. The darkside folks are interesting to me, there's definitely less pure evil than the sith were. The apprentice having a padwan braid and the regret over killing another Jedi show them to be more than just another Sith duo. I wonder if he wants to recreate the jedi as a twisted version under the empire.
I’ve got to say I’m a wee bit underwhelmed so far. It feels a bit like plot by numbers and relies way too much on previous series to set it up. It feels jaded in the way the most recent Mandalorian series and Kenobi were - which is a shame when we know that they can produce something as good as Andor. It would have been nice to see a bit more depth and exploration of Ahsoka ‘s character.
The writing was a little lacking in credibility too - it reminded me of that Seinfeld episode where George and Jerry cut Elaine out of their pilot because they don’t know how to write what a woman would say. I didn’t find the dialogue between any of the female leads at all convincing.
On the plus side, some of the art direction was ok and the droids got some good lines. I hope it picks up a bit when they go off to the new Galaxy
First 2 eps were a love letter to the Rebels series and served as exposition to get the series into the path of where they go from here..
It's almost an hour and half of lightsaber battles and some Force action in the Star wars Universe.. I ain't complaining..
New plot points that I can see:
Nightsisters connection to the space whales?
Fallen Jedi (with an Inquisitor?
Sabine was training to be a Jedi?
New Republic needs some counterintelligence?

It's possible that the Nightsisters discovered a path linking two galaxies, and built a temple to house the map as it was a major discovery. Ezra may have just happened to trigger that wormhole when he did his thing centuries later. Not sure how Ahsoka discovered the link between the two events though.
Wasn't a bad episode but my wife and I are already tired of Ahsoka's smugness and attitude. Crazy how they changed her so much already and no one seems to care.

I'll adding some plot point...
Will we ever see Zeb return?
Will sabine contact mandalorian and asking for help if things goes really bad?
They have a number of hints to the Kotor and tor games with the HK units, starmaps and the galaxy hopper ship being called the eye of sion. I wonder if there is gonna be a hint about a few characters from that era
I watched first 2 episodes and ...it is so boring, so much nonsense in the script. I was expecting to enjoy this series but i couldnt. Example, Ashoka talking with a droid after big blast...and i couldnt tell if she was serious, joking or what..i dont know if it was a script or just bad acting. Very hard to watch.

Same for sabine. everybody seems angry at everything now. also, ahsoka was always pretty humble except when she was talking to anakin.

I was writing about this to someone else just yesterday. They're trying to make her the reserved Jedi Master, but she wasn't a Jedi master and there's a reason for that. You can't just undo her entire backstory b/c you think that she has to "act like a master" now.
So for people talking about Sabine surviving the lightsaber stab, the best explanation I found was that the dark apprentice character was trying to leave her alive to keep Ahsoka too busy saving Sabine's life to follow her and get the map back.
If Ahsoka is rushing Sabine to the hospital, it doesn't matter if she's skilled enough to kick the Apprentice's butt.

i have a different explanation. the fight between the 2 padawans seemed less skilled than most lightsaber duels we've seen. which would be fitting, considering they are both not fully trained. so the failure to properly apply a killing blow seems appropriate.
on the other hand, it might just be a case of filoni being bad at directing live action (a lot of the other problems suggest this), so i might be wrong.
but the series has so many issues, this stab potentially not making sense didn't even register for me before i read about it here.

Absolutely true, and a reasonable thought process.

Therein lies the problem though... There is too much of this going on in the new Star Wars stuff where the fans have to fill in the gaps and make up theories to explain inconsistencies...
A simple 30 second scene showing Ahsoka and or Hera being concerned over Sabine while she is near death and being rushed to a medical bay would have at least made this feel "real"... Instead, everyone seemed mostly meh about the whole thing and next thing Sabine is in the hospital looking like she got her tonsils removed instead of having being impaled in the gut with a superheated plasma sword....
