My guess. The profit margins on those packs were not what they wanted. They were intended as a way to entice players when the game was new. Once they get people to buy something, they are more likely to continue spending.
Now that the game isn't new, there are fewer new players, so it's not in their financial best interest to offer it anymore.

Does it hurt them to leave it there? Do they assume everyone is gonna spend more on higher packs?
Probably profit margin
33% to apple/Google
Who knows what to payment processing
Then the cut to the bean counters.
There was probably some accounting saying it cost more money to offer that than they where making
They do what makes them money, they are a business.... If crystal sakes would have dropped after they ditched it they would have brought it back, but it's been gone for a while so.....

This. If there's something CG is good at, then it's their packs. If packs are removed or added then there's almost always a financial reason behind it. If it got removed then it wasn't profitable enough and/or too good for the player. They have all the information regarding spending, so they can evaluate pretty well what packs/bundles bring them the most money, and then focus on that. They would never remove a pack if it brought in a ton of money.

Not everyone needs to. Just 50% +1 and they maded money, assuming next one up is 50% more. Personally I never looked at packs below a vault when I did spend.
I do miss the the monthly crystal packs they had, very good value. I mainly do the 4.99 if I want something that day or 19.99 and do alot if refreshes throughout the week. Usually during double drops or close to GL. When they do they do the crystal %increase packs, I'll usually do both 9.99 and 19.99

Good on them if 50% + 1 bought double priced ones they made more money from same base. Me I said no more.
