Mods’ Dots Incrementation Information Requests

Hello. May I know of how to increase the quantity of dots per mod? Is it by slicing only, upgrading only or combination of both slicing and upgrading? Thank you all very much in advance!

Mods of 4 dots or less are stuck on the number of dots where they started.

5 dot mods can be upgraded to 6 through slicing, after upgrading to level 15, and slicing to tier A.

Lumiya

You roll them until they reach level 15. Then you can slice them higher. When they are grey in the middle and golden outside, you can slice them from 5 dot to 6 dot mods and the inside follows the same colour pattern.
Important: Do this only with 5 dot mods and which have the right primaries and secondaries, 4 dot or less are not worth slicing. You can sell them right away.

With slicing I meant rolling them to level 15. Sry was tired when I wrote it, thx.
