Relic cargo package

Is this missing for everyone today?

Replies

  • Yes, it's missing. One of the best value for money packages in this game. I sincerely hope it's not permanently gone.
  • Yeah sadly, one of the few packs I actually get nowadays 😂
  • It’s fine, now bring a 100 zeta + 200 omega mats buyable twice at 9,99$ and we all happy.

I like your enthusiasm. Considering I just got Rey and such before those lightspeed packs came out it only makes sense haha
  • Most annoying as I have been buying this pack as far back as I can remember was a huge time saver. Hopefully this is and odd mistake and will be coming back
  • I was buying that pack too, so I also hope it comes back.

PD: Ok, besides the zeta pack I would also appreciate a mods pack including one of each full set with +20 speed secondaries for 19,99$. Thank you.
  • We know they never do anything 'by accident' looks like this pack is history and it was the only thing i was planning on buying for the near future and one i have brought weekly for years now, so well done CG you just lost some money.
  • Another horrible change on top of other horrible changes. The bait and switch tactics from cg is getting old fast
  • Bought this every week.... :(
  • It's decent value, in an overpriced game and definitely helps with relic mat farming. I would assume it's a bug because it seemed to be a very popular pack.

    Don't you want my money???
  • Pack is now showing back for me. Just weirdly delayed
  • Is this one really decent value?

I saw it and thought it gave very little, genuinely curious haha.
  • thank you for doing the math @herd_nerfer that is exactly what i was looking for

Happy to. I was bored this morning and curious myself
F2P since the last time I bought Kyros, Crystals, or the Conquest Pass.
  • I get it main to save time and its guaranteed rather than 5 - 15 that most seem to be now

It gets a little dicey putting values on these things since there's multiple ways a person might go about acquiring them - but if we assume that a person would spend crystals on all of these items (minus the credits) in the weekly shipment store, AND we assume that the $20 crystal pack is the actual monetary value of crystals, here's the breakdown:
    • CCB = 5 crystals each x20 = 100
    • BW = 20 crystals each x20 = 400
    • Chromium Transistor = 40 crystals each x20 = 800
    • Aurodium Heatsink = 100 crystals each x9 = 900
    • Electrium Conductor = 115 crystals each x6 = 690
    • Zinbiddle Card = 140 crystals each x3 = 420
    • Fragmented Signal Data = 15 crystals each x28 = 420
    • Incomplete Signal Data = 20 crystals each x24 = 480
    • Flawed Signal Data = 30 crystals each x15 = 450
    • Normal Energy = .42 crystals each x200 = 84 (based on 50 crystals = 120 energy)
    • Fleet Energy = .42 crystals each x200 = 84 (based on 50 crystals = 120 energy)
    • 100 crystals = 100 crystals each x1 = 100

    Total crystal cost = 4928

    $20 crystal pack = 2800 crystals or $1 = 140 crystals

    4928 crystals / 140 = $35.20

Considering the price of the pack is $10, this is one of those really scarce "good values" in the game. Value is of course a relative term.

Ah nice thanks for the break down!!
  • Not sure for how long but this pack is still on the webstore

The one thing in this list that I think is off is the aurodium heatsinks. Buying them at 100 crystals each should never be done. If you need them immediately, and you have absolutely none of the other currencies that can buy mk3 holo projector salvage, then the crystal purchase is 150 crystals for a full projector. That gets you 5 heatsinks, making each heatsink only worth 30 crystals. 30x9=270 rather than the 900 above.

That knocks 630 off the total for 4298÷140=$30.70, most of 5 bucks difference.

Even so, out of the regularly available packs, I always thought this was the best value one.

Edit: After the raid changes and what you can buy with those currencies, I think it does throw the value of this off quite a bit, as most items to get a lot of the relic salvage can now be bought through there, using currency that can never be used on kyros (should never) or signal data. So the only items i really see as a direct value for me is the Signal data, the energies and the crystals, which brings the value down to about $11.50. The zinbiddles and electriums I do see some value in too, but not the full crystal cost equivalent. So this pack is better than buying crystals to me, but not massively.

I agree, and I would add transistors to that as well - but what someone's willing to pay for is a subjective thing. If you only cared about items x, y, and z then you'd have to do the math to figure out what you're paying for those in particular and ignoring the rest. As a rule, I wouldn't buy signal data with crystals either - but it's hard to get an overall value assessment without including everything - or at least everything that can be easily priced.

You're right though. At the end of the day, the "value" is going to be tied to what in the pack you actually place value on - and I would never pay crystals for transistors or heatsinks - but some people definitely would. Even minus those two things - it still far outstrips the sale price in terms of value for the price. If I needed relic mats, I'd definitely consider pulling the trigger on this one.

  • Ah, sorry, I chucked an edit in there while you were replying, but I happen to give a good example of what you are saying, figuring out what in a pack is worth it to you personally.
