  • Anyone do JMK without CAT?
  • 5 more attempts, 5 more fails on SLKR.

Yes, I have decent mods. No, double taunt doesn't help b/c Rey is nuking everyone early and there's no way I have enough offence to get Rey down anyway.

Near as I can tell, double tanking might help if they go after FOST long enough to leave KRU able to 2-turn stun Rey. But even then, Rey's got infinite healing and Prot recovery going on, so what are you gonna do?

OG Kylo has Healing Immunity on basic, but it has never landed once. I'm going to look at remodding him for Potency, but this is ridiculous.

Have you tried stun-locking Rey and killing her first? That's what I did and it was super easy. I just timed it so that I had a poke ready every time she wasn't stunned. Not sure I ever used KRU's stun on her.
  • Seems really varied based on the event.

I've 2* 3 of them on first try, and the other 3 I got smoked, badly.
  • Have you tried stun-locking Rey and killing her first?

Yes. It's a pretty obvious strategy, so I have tried it. I try it every time. She doesn't go down.

This weird line up worked for me. I kept Rey stunned but killed RH Finn first - then Rey, RHPoe etc. for the 3 stars

  • Did all but Rey. No Ult or Ben.
  • UPDATE!

I figured out Rey vs SLKR without Rey's ultimate.

For reference my Rey is R8, 524 speed (before leadership), ~194k health, and ~11.3k physical offense. I have all zetas but her basic and Manifest Inspiration unique.

The lineup that worked for me (consistently - did all three attempts), is: RHF(R5), RHP(R5), R2(R7), BB8(R7). No zetas on any of them.

I was trying to stun SLKR and take out the sides but that never got anywhere. Too often he'd just resist, and even if it did apply he'd shrug it off immediately and go into ult after ult, crushing my team into dust, no matter what lineup I tried. I just wasn't able to keep up and keep my team alive long enough to take out the sides. I changed tactics and decided to just try to gun down SLKR first. It's RNG dependent, best case scenario is he goes after one of the sides with his first move, and knocks them into damage immunity, giving Rey the option to Whirlwind on her first turn. I think in every successful run this was the opening play. Almost always prioritize Whirlwind when it's available (targeting the unit you want to kill), unless you have to use Lifeblood to keep someone alive. Prioritize keeping RH Finn alive, because you'll need his healing. Put everyone except BB8 under stealth with R2 - with his foresight/evasion/recovery, BB8 stays alive the best out of the sides. He almost never died in any of my runs unless he was the last one left. If you get this opening from SLKR, you should be able to use Finn's grenade to heal up on his first turn, while he's under stealth. Keep the Lifeblood on Finn/Poe, hitting SLKR with the Whirlwinds whenever possible. Use Finn's TM swap with Rey to get those Whirlwinds off as fast as possible. Sometimes you get stuck behind FOST, in which case just wait until SLKR is open again. In my case, it took 3 Whirlwinds to take down SLKR. After that, you want to take our the Raiders next. It's impossible to kill them without using a Whirlwind, and they're the biggest threat of damage at this point. Avoid hitting them and choose Hux instead, when you're open to counters (ie not stealthed), while you wait for your next Whirlwind to come online. Hux doesn't counter so he's the safest option. Hux and FOST are both squishier than the Raiders so save them for last if you can. At this point you ideally still have at least Finn and BB8 alive, maybe +1 (either Poe or R2). Once you get to this point, you may have to stop using Lifeblood for a few turns to allow your health to come back above 60%, so you can then use Lifeblood to drop it below 60% again and get another Whirlwind. Cleanup is pretty easy once you get SLKR down if you're just careful, but be mindful because those Raiders can definitely wipe you out if you hit them a lot and get too many counters.

  • The SLKR lineup that worked for me was SLKR, Hux, FOO, KRU and Phasma. Got this from BitDynasty. Stun Rey with SLKR poke, pass turn to him from Hux and swipe, pass turn from FOO and basic Rey. When KRU gets a turn use his stun on Rey or Finn depending on tm. Phasma uses 1st special to boost tm. I got ult charged but held off a turn to restun Rey with poke then went to ult. She never took a turn outside of the first flurry.

I would be curious about this aswell. A guildie of mine doesn't have her and so far, no matter what we came up with, it didn't work for him.

I don't have JMK so I can't try it myself.

    Edit for clarity
We are all made of star-stuff

Some players do like to try to work things out for themselves first though.

@Shmoopyz - I just did a refresh to see if I could make it work without CAT and it is possible. I managed it with r8 JMK, r8 GAS, r8 GK, r5 AT and r5 Padme. It was much harder than with CAT but still done first time.

Strategy, if you're interested, was to try and stack the armor shreds on LV with GAS and use AT and Padme to try and keep the debuffs off. I ended up taking out the "5s" first and then LV before cleaning up the other three. LV builds his ult slowly so you may be able to take LV before he hits his ult once.

    @flux_rono

thank you, I also had to remod her a bit but this helped a lot.

    Thank you so much.

I did remodding a couple times earlier, but I think that it was about a combo of right speeds and right turn order. It helps a lot if Rey doesn't use Lifeblood on t1 b/c then all the KRU counterattacks count towards SLKR's ult.

But when my turn order fell into place, I took her down. It wasn't as easy as others are finding it, so it probably still has something to do with my mods, but after she survived the mass assist, she took a hit from FOO and then SLKR used his stun-move and she didn't get stunned, she just died.

Cleanup was easy after that. I'm going to spend some time this upcoming month working on improving my FO mods. Since I got SLKR forever ago, none of FO's mods have been updated in ... a long time. He still does what I need him to do in most game mods (thus no pressure to change the mods) but it wasn't working here.

Anyway, I very VERY much appreciate all the folks who offered suggestions. I'm done until next month (when I can do 8 battles instead of 7 -- missed Leia by ][ that much), and I'll hopefully have better synergy in my modding then (not just decent modding, but turn order adjusted, etc.).

You're a good group. Keep the cooperation going!
  • Thanks for all the pointers in this thread.
Tried the 3 I failed yesterday & got them all.
    6/6 now.
By next month I should have my relic-7 on Rey to go for 7.
Leia is still a few months of Drogan farming away.

I was in the same place then used Hux+Officer and kept their tm swap skill for when it matters. It gave me 3 chances to time it right and re-stun Rey. She didn't survived the onslaught after the second stun.

Thanks. I did get it on my own. Similar strat. JTR instead of R2. All attacks on SLKR until Whirlwind, which takes out a side. With lone SLKR, Basic/Whirlwind, instead of Lifeblood.

  • Glad to hear you were able to work it out and get your currency, cheers!
