If I have to buy a pack to get it, then it should be mine.

Even Poe Dameron says it's Luke's, as pee this quote:
    "That's an old craft ID. That's Luke Skywalker's X-wing"

    Luke wasn’t the original though.
We needed Cobb Vanth shards for Krayt Dragon raid, Endor Gear Luke shards for Speeder Bike raid and Anakin Skywalker shards for Battle for Naboo raid?

Poor Red 5, let if finally die in peace. It was a rebellion call sign used by 3 different people. First Gaul, Skywalker then Grizz. Idk if Rey used it or not. Gaul's X wing got destroyed so Luke's isn't even the original. It just be synonymous with Luke. Both should get X wings. Call them whatever

lol, then why did you create a poll 😂

    Rey flew it more btw

I suggest you re-watch the saga

No need, I already know Rey flew it more

How many times have you re-watched Episode IX?

listen buddy this is really simple. Red 5 is a call sign. It doesn’t “belong” to anybody. If you’re talking about the ship itself, it belongs to Rey because Luke is dead in the canon. End of story

In the movies, pretty sure Luke only flew it three times. Death Star, Dagobah, Bespin.

… are we even sure it’s the same Red 5? Most other famous pilots (Anakin and Poe, mainly) seem to have a knack for exploding their ships.

Four times in the movies; he flew it when leaving Tatooine after Jabba's death.

So then Luke doesn't own it since someone did before him.

Also it’s a work of fiction

It's clear to me now that this poll has been manipulated. I reject these results. Literally everyone knows Red 5 belongs to Rey.

    Literally everyone.

Yes, the part where Red 5 doesn't belong to Rey.

Well, since Luke is dead and Rey isn't, then it is now hers, no? Hard to own something from the grave.

“I suppose I feel more like I’m owning it. I suppose I owned it the first time. Basically, I’m an adult now. I certainly did not feel like an adult at the time. Obviously, personally, things have changed, and professionally, I’ve had lots of other experiences, and so I definitely feel like it’s a different thing this time. There’s just a lot of joy with me and these films. Honestly, if I wasn’t excited, I wouldn’t have done it. It feels like a great thing to be a part of.”

Daisy Ridley talking about the new movie, obviously refering to Red 5

Why are you obsessed with Rey?

Why are you obsessed with being wrong?

I suggest you look up the definition of “belong”.
And I’ll repeat myself in case you forgot, Luke gave the ship to Rey, so now it belongs to her.

Well since this fiction played out a long time ago in a galaxy far far away, we can safely conclude that every owner of that particular Incom T-65B X-Wing S/N AA-589 is fictionally dead. But then again, no one ever really dies in Star Wars ... somehow they return.

Perhaps worth pointing out (but probably not since y'all love to argue) that during the Battle of Yavin, Wedge Antilles held the Red 2 designation and Biggs Darklighter held the Red 3 designation. In ROTJ, Wedge held the Red Leader (Red 1) designation. Both Wedge and Biggs have ships in the game, and neither of those ships are referred to by call sign.

If Luke or Rey ever got an in-game X-wing, it need not include the Red 5 call sign. "Luke Skywalker's X-Wing" would work just fine, as would "Rey's X-Wing."

But if "Red 5" were to make its way into the game, Luke should be the pilot since he was the only* Red 5 we ever saw on screen. Rey was never a part of Red Squadron and never held any call sign.

    * okay fine, point of order: Grizz Frix used the Red 5 call sign during the Battle of Endor, and we did get to see him briefly on screen as his ship exploded

This pool was actually screening for trolls, and surprisingly we have found only 29.62% (at the time of this post)

Wow! It’s almost as if you haven’t read a single comment in the thread justifying Rey as the correct choice. Who’s the troll?
