A wise Update Day Strategy to be safe.

Honestly, I'm afraid to touch anything until all the updates are finished rolling!
Note: Had to manually update app through Google Play.
So far, the only difference I see are the new health bars. Not a big whoop, but it'll take some getting used to.
Protection is listed in the character stats, but all my toons have zero protection right now. I'll assume the whole update hasn't rolled out yet.
iOS users have an Ewok event, but Android players, fret not! Jesse has promised a new event for ALL of us later today! I'll go out in a limb and say... "Rancor"? Hoping the award is ROTJ Luke, but we'll see

Still seeing threads like "Is protection working?" and "Is the new advantage working?"
Check the forums. Essentially, (by now) the client update (the app on your phone) has taken effect across all devices. Update manually through Google Play or Apple Store if you're not sure. All you'll see for now are minor tweaks, the most visible bring the new health bars.
Server-side (over at EA) update is still pending.
