My Team's Power Rating Went Up?

It looks like with the patch my teams power rating actually went up a combined 1k or so (29,436 currently). I kinda find this surprising since everyone on the team looked like they got hit by the nerf bat.

My Tusken Raider gained a lot of power, probably has to do with the protection.

Protection has been added, and it is now part of the character's power level, so if your SQ is Gear VII, it was auto added...

I might be wrong, but was the reduction not on rank 8 abilities only...which most of us don't have yet?

Right, and abilities are independent of Power Levels.
