Question for someone who has Kylo Ren at gear level VII (first purple circle)

I have 4 of his slots filled at gear level VI and can get the last two filled. But this requires lots of purple bits, and competes with slots needed by other characters.
My question is: after you upgrade him to level VII, how good are the upgrades available at that level? Some characters you can continue to upgrade the slots there and they provide nice bonuses (JC you can actually get to level VIII). Others they are >60 and thus locked, or they provide tiny bonuses.
Any assistance with this much appreciated.

He has two more slots left till viii. It's a lvl 64 requirement to fill the other two slots so he stuck at VII for a while with two slots empty. Once you gear him to VII he is easy to have 4 slots filled aside from the last two as I mentioned. Only one slot out of the four require purple 20 piece . Hope this helps

You can get 4 more items at tier 7. One relates to strength and physical damage and the rest are crit chance or physical damage. They are good imo.

Great, that's what I needed to know. (Some of the items even at gear VII are really lame, like +5 to one stat, while others give big bonuses to large numbers of stats, thus the question.)
I had to ask after getting Phasma to Gear VII (she has only 1 good slot at that level).
