Question about guilds

Hi there,just created forum account to post this. Ive got a few question about guilds,hope you peeps can answer them:

1)Are they shard dependant?If so,how do I know what shard im in?All I know is I share a shard with Bentwookie,since he is first in Arena rank and is an easily known player
2)Are they iOS/Android dependant?

Well,thats it.Id like to join a guild before sunday,but before offering myself like a cheap manhwore id like to have this info.
