Here's screenshot of the top 3 in my Arena Server. Does it ring a bell that Qi Gon is useful? Of course, ready a few dozen 8x Mega-Packs to get him to 7*.

  • Just boggles my mind. Seeing 7* Qi Gon, Maul, Ben, Ayala always makes name wonder how much money it took to do that. Especially when they're all on a players team.
  • Yah my wife who was a soft launch player uses him as lead. You can get a full turn in before the otber team has a chance to make a first move. Speed kills.
  • I just hope the designers don't use this as evidence that "Jedi builds are still fine" because out here in the real world where we don't spend $5,000 on a video game.. they are not. :)
Quit 7/14/16. Best of luck to all of you.
  • Lol Qeltar.

To fight these fast teams, usually have to fire Luminara heal even before I get hurt much, just for the heal over time.

The toughest team ever has Leia 7* (which with the buga will kill 2-3 chars before you can even react), Ben, Lando, Consular and Lumi. **** hard to beat. Who do you target first? I am stunning Ben and Leia, and trying to kill the taunter even before he taunts. Any other thing just ensures that whatever was the target, goes back to 100% hp.
  • I don't expect to beat teams like that, at least not in a 1v1.
In GW, I simply peck away at them, retreating frequently, especially after Leia's stupid bugged group buff, which I am really losing patience with.
Quit 7/14/16. Best of luck to all of you.
  • I beat Jedi teams. Just not the one I exactly described which feel like an all 7 star max gear and mats team. If Leia is brough up to specks (no triple-fire on every turn and craY team buff) then, out of 2-3 turns, I will handle it. But he/she can take back what was lost in 5 mins. Any team like that can regain spot even doing Auto-Play.

I faced a fully geared Qi Gon team for the first time in GW a couple of days ago and holy crap that speed buff with ayala single handedly decimated me because even when you retreat they still get to keep attacking first. I wouldnt scream nerf cause like qeltar said he isnt popular until u get to like top 5 and honestly i hope he stays pack exclusive.

Edit: decided to read more in QGJ and honestly his humbling blow seems quite humbling against poggles or any taunts

Sadly, it's more than 98% of their players can afford, yet people insinuate that I shouldn't have issue with it.
... It's like going to Vegas and when you arrive, all they have is card tables with $10K minimums, 10 players at the tables and 5,000 in the hallway watching.
...it's like going out to dinner and everything but the water is $1,000, so one guy has a meal and the rest have water.

My prediction, get used to the idea of seeing ads in the future, this pricing model won't work...

It's clear that EA doesn't get this concept...
  • Hey I see myself

Qi Gon team is very effective but I'm trying to move into a first order team build now. Just maintained my #1 spot with it and its roughly 3k power less than the Qi Gon team. Unfortunately a lot of the characters have low 60s level requirement to finish gear levels except tie fighter, he dominates if not nuked early.
  • I totally agree on some points. There are some characters that are already powerful at 4* and once taken to 7* it becomes brutal.

I feel the developers tried to help the F2P out with most of the new characters farmable in some way but it wont be enough to quiet the masses. If I didnt have a certain amount of disposable income I would have been hard pressed to shell out any money on a video game. And most people do not have that income so the frustration is understandable and EA should make changes to make all characters farmable in some fashion. If not this game will die a slow death.

Making all the characters available to everyone would require the developers to balance all of the characters. I agree that everyone should have access to all of the characters. It'll probably never happen as long as pro gamers and people with deep pockets continue to pay to win.

Absolutely. But they could keep the powerful characters powerful but harder to farm. Money would just get you there faster. But you're right I doubt it will happen.

I farmed Sidious, Lumi, JC, and Daka to 7 stars.

    After that,

    Poggle, HK, and others.

It's not a matter of slow death to the game, but a slow grind to get a massive 7 star Gear VII stud. We can all do it. Perhaps not all the characters, but we can all get our 7 star awesome characters.

Even Dooku (if you bought him) can be made to 4 stars and 5 stars in a few months.

F2P rocks. You build some great characters and rely on luck to build the others. It's just a matter of discipline and patience and less complaining.

I said this in another post. All paying in should do is save time vs. farming, not lock players who are F2P out of using some characters like the current system. Why didn't they make this app like $10 instead of free then charge way less for packages?? They have 1 million customers on Google Play, do the math...
  • Id rather be number 4 and have the $2000 in my pocket
  • If you think qgj leader with 4 jedis is bad, wait till you run into a team with qgj leader, 3 Jedi and phasma and phasma speed debuffs your whole team. They get 2-3 attacks before you get 1
  • Nice try today Preemo, can't snipe the sniper ;) I'll maintain my #1.

Takes me roughly 45 seconds to defeat your comp

A top 200 position gives 80% same arena tockens and can allow you to farm 10 shards a day.

It's like walking to a Casino, and playing a slot machine or any regular table, and regardless of ehat you do in the top 200, you get 80% of the money that the top table reserved for $10,000 bids does.

Or going into the restaurant, and paying $0 and instead of getting a 1.2 lb burger for $1,353, you get a 1lb burger for free, some money and even a free pass to the movies and candies to take home (the free 75 Crystals).

Are you sure tou want to play at the $10k table, and then eat the 1.2 lb burger at $1,353? If so, pony up man! The extra Crystals will mean nothing to you as you'd have to soend 5x day every day for a month at least.

The good news is that some F2P rank consistently in top 20. So you can get into the vip tables that will have those "perks", with a "free pass" called P&GS, short for...."Patience & Good Strategy"

Lol! Well deserved #1. Your team rocks. I can only take it back with some luck and lots of fast thinking adjusting for the blinkong fast action your team lands.

wow. I thought maybe 3 mins. 45 secs is just too easy. What's the worst cr*** my team does? Any tip? Maybe I can switch a character and last 1 more minute next time!

Btw, I tend to win 2/3 of the time. A month from now and staying there will require 67 Arena refrehes and 335 battles :-( ... I am mentally preparing to earn no Crystals a month from now.

I try to stay up there primarily because I am not a threat really, but if fall to #12 I will quickly end #29. But up the ladder is win, win, win, win/lose, win/lose.
  • This speed movement happend on my server probably 10-14 days ago. The recently released toons are also going a long way in changing top ranks of PVP with speed.
  • Yeah tou can see a Phasma at the top here too. And Poe is on top 5 too (Just not as leader). I yer haven't seen Rey or Fin, but thise are slower grinds with no packs to start from.
  • Thanks man, ya my comp is a nuke comp. Basically your leia goes into stealth, sid hits me, dooku sometimes hits first then my poe taunts, Tie Fighter one shots either sid or dooku depending on who has expose from poe. I Then slow with Phasma and take some small damage from your team (sometimes leia will nuke my poe :"( ) By the time my tie fighter comes back around your basically toast (2-3 full turns max)

My issue is not with rank or position, success in the Arena, it's strictly the stupidity in the pricing and if they don't fix it, it will only hurt the game.

I'm doing fine actually in the game. I have a decent team regardless, it's just the principle...
  • I've got a 3* qui gon that i got in a pack ages ago and never really bothered with him. What makes him so good?

Qgj is a good character once lvled, star, and gear.

Qgj leader ability is giving all Jedi 21 speed.
Besides that his specials are good. Harmonious assult brings in an ally to assist and the assisting ally does 50% more dmg, and its a 1 turn cool down.
  • Can't imagine how much these people paid to get 7star qgj....
  • I lol'd at the title. Qi Gon in Cantonese mean a pimp. It make sense because EA is making a killing by the look of it.
