Ben mind tricks not triggering Ackbar's leader ability

Is mind tricks an attack? Because no Rebel ally is called for assist when Ben uses this ability and Ackbar leads.

I've been seeing the his too, at least when adding Ben as an ally. Was thinking of farming him as the 5th for my Ackbar led Rebel team, but really can't unless this gets fixed.
