Note: 5 pieces of salvage costs 1,650 guild currency and 25 pieces of salvage costs 8,250 guild currency. To put this into perspective, number 1 in HEROIC receives only 1,120 currency not even enough for a 5 piece salvage. Now we do get currency with our daily activities, but 4/7 days are FTP and the most coins you can get from being number 1 on a P2P day is around 600. This is Ludicrous to me.
Should the gear in the guild store prices be changed? 235 votes

same here at least you can get it eventually its high to make you compete, earn more to get better stuff. Its the dangling carrot.. if you get enough coin you can still BUY pieces you didn't win outright.. its a way to get it without a top 3 slot.
I think its good where its at. It's only frustrating because you want to be first person to get it or first person to get gear XI. Game is supposed to be a challenge not a gateway to rewards.. the fun is in the game.
Basically.
Come on now, you have been around long enough to know how this game works, it only claims to be f2p. At some point we need to accept this and move on (collectively), it will never change.
You do realize what's frustrating about this is the precraft disparity and the over pricing. I Am very familiar with how top online games are, I was in a top guild in world of Warcraft but their reward system was much better than this. You do have to wait but there was currency and full gear, multiple pieces of gear per boss, and currency for everyone. It made the wait less grueling. Trust me this game does not emit that of a top tier online game. No where near that for them to be overpricing things
Not worth the grind. Other top tier online games take a couple weeks because of competition, not overpriced gear currency.
I disagree partially. The grind part I agree with but for it to be like this is just dumb. The rewards system, the heroic raid, all need fixing and then it would be more of a grind. The fact that heroic isn't a grind says something and that number 1 on there still has to wait weeks for gear says more. Heroic is supposed to be the last line and most challenging but it's the complete opposite.
I only find it to be a problem because it's quite literally forever.
And if that comparison relates to MMOs, other RPGs...that's typically for one character, your main. Not 64 different heroes you'd like to try out if you want something different or if the meta changes.
Yes my point exactly. There are a plethora of heroes that need this gear not just one main. Top tier online games have mains only and it takes long to get gear due to competition. At this rate it would take **** near 3-4 months to grind one piece of gear for each of your main squad
It takes 3-4 weeks to farm... That's about right. Plus you have a reason to do daily guild challenges...
Mk 9 and 10 Binoculars
16 for 1650
Mk10 Hololens
25 for 4350
Mk5 nubian
1970
Better?
I agree to your agreement of the guy who agreed first
Do these games also require 5+ characters to all be at the same power level in order to be competitive?
It also wouldn't have been as much of an issue if it was for precrafting. A handful of people have a huge advantage over everyone else in both arena and raids which results in them also collecting the bulk of the rewards which makes that much longer for everyone else to try and catch up. EA screwed up by allowing the gear to be precrafted and then shutting an iron gate on it for everyone else.
There was a reason already! It's called Guild Shop exclusive characters!!!
If the prices were for all 50 pieces of salvage that we need, it would be doable. Spending two months worth of guild currency just to craft one piece of gear is garbage.
Unless someone's coming in at the top of tier 5/6 raids consistently and also the daily guild activities, it'll take longer than 3-4 weeks for one piece. Twice that long for me and I'm slightly above the average payout range in my guild.
I would like a change to how they give gear from raids. My suggestion would be to give the top 3 people on each phase a reward (given when the phase ends), and then give everyone an identical reward when the raid is defeated. Each reward would have the same amount of a random gear mat (~10 on T6) or a small chance for a full piece.
Yep. They don't understand what having multiple characters who need this gear means. It's not like WoW where you have one main. This is different and yes I like challenges but this is ludicrous
But if you recall raids were implemented for a new game mode and to help the gear grind not be as bad. This is raid-only gear it only shows the 4 pieces that are raid obtainable only. Stun cuffs I get you can get from raids but the other gear isn't even a given to get each time.
