The system should stay as is. Even you probably wouldn't like the ramifications if your idea was instituted. Everyone you met in arena would be:
RG, 555s,chewie,ig100 magnaguard, teebo
In other words, all tanks that have very little offense, but take FOREVER to kill, so arena battles would have to be lengthened to 15 minutes, every team you saw would be boring tanks and you'd spend forever trying to move up.
Now let's say you do indeed figure out how to beat these tanks with a good combo of characters.... Well guess what? Everyone else will figure it out too and your little "defensive team" will lose just like your current team does and thus you are back to square 1
BTW, if you still like your idea, go ahead and institute it!!! Just play 4 matches with your normal team and one match with your tank team... You'll lose or draw (which is effectively the same as a loss), and then that very team of tanks can sit there all night while you slumber.
especially now that GW with depleted protection and the turn meter carry over from prev battle, you can't use GW as testing ground anymore. so you just have to test on the spot in arena but a lot of people dont have that luxury cos every single battle is quite crucial to get to a better prize tier.
