Shard Drop Rates - I can't think of a clever title

I just want to point something out that is really polluting the forums - and has been since the game was released (I also have nothing better to do).
Let's assume that there was a problem with the shard drop rates (i.e. misprints/errors in code) - which, the problem would have been noticed by developers much earlier as just that, a bug. People have been complaining about the shard drop rate since the beginning of time, and if there truly was a problem, it would have been looked into.
What is just as scary is that as soon as a person may get 0/9 shards on a Rey node for example, they hop on the thread thinking that making a post is benefiting the community, or in a way bringing this "problem" to the attention of (Spoiler: It's not).
It gets even worse (I know, how could it?) when after each update the drop rates get worse. Assuming this to be factual, a simple analysis of the website could assist. (Take a look at the dates posted)

If the drop rates have been getting progressively worse after each update (Let's assume a 1% drop after each update) we would be down to about a 5% drop rate for each character. Now obviously if you had the slightest bit of common sense you know this is not the case.
There is also talk about this "confirmation biased" going around so if you would like to educate yourself on why you may be noticing bad drop rates, Qeltar helps explain the concept in a thread of his - https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/comment/58013#Comment_58013.
The significance of Critical-Utopian Socialism and Communism bears an inverse relation to historical development.
