Squad attack order

Team - Your leader strikes first, but then how do you control the attack order of the rest of your characters? I had thought it was the sequence of toons in the display panel.

In PvP, what determines if you or your opponent strikes first? I thought if we are battling a higher ranked player, we could go first as the contender.

Character speed plays a huge role but there is also an unknown bug/intended RNG factor that CG/EA hasn't disclosed.

What I find odd/annoying with my alt account is opponents chewy going before mine, but mine gets 2 turns in before his goes again. Makes for a long taunt.
