IG86 or FOTP?

I am using FOTP, but I am a f2p and i don't see any way to get him better.
I was thinking in replacing him with IG86 because it is easier to farm shards.
Is it worth or 2* FOTP is still better?

Def IG86. A 2* Tie Pilot won't do you any good...much to fragile. IG isnt much better lol but at least you can seven star him. At around 6* IG starts hitting pretty hard.

Tie Pilot is amazing, he gets some crazy good crits and pairs well with phasma. But IG-86 is way easier to farm, and does fairly well, so that may be the better choice. You don't unlock shard missions for the Tie Pilot until way later on in the Missions, 6 tier, and is easily knocked out by a strong breeze.

I have a 2-star FOTP and a 6-star IG86, both geared similarly. IG86 has more health and deals more reliable damage (you don't have to gamble on extra attacks). However... I also run him on a droid team, which probably skews the results a bit.

I'm not too far away from being able to slowly gather more FOTP shards, so we'll see how he does at a higher star level.
