Make it obvious what gear rival level toons are

I may be missing something but could/would this be a viable option?

Just above the level bit of the thumbnail a purple viii or via or ix etc etc

Or is there already a way to spot this and I'm missing it.

There is the color and the amount of rings around the character shows the gear level.

Amount of rings? Is there a guide that shows the differences? I can see some difference but my gear 8 and 9 toons seem to have the same.

For example.
The first order officer has a purple ring and some additional rings around his image, this is gear 10.
Old Daka has a double purple ring, this is gear 9.
Dooku has a purple ring with 2 extra lines this is gear 8.

Get a device with better resolution lol. But in all seriousness if you look closely you can see the difference.

You can tell by the color of the circles around their toons.
G1 - Green with two notches
G2 - Green with four notches
G3 - Green with six notches
G4 - Blue with two notches
G5 - Blue with four notches
G6 - Blue with six notches
G7 - Purple with six notches
G8 - Purple with four notches connected
G9 - purple with six notches connected
G10
G11
G12

Someone else will have to fill those in

Yep I see it now. Many thanks everyone.

I had never noticed such a tiny detail before. I see now why I can work my way up in the arena from say 250 to 110-150 (some are very hard) and the next day be back to 250-odd

I'm only gear 9 on 2 of my toons (even then one of them is only 6 star rarity) and gear 8 for the rest but are high attackers and low health. Meaning while I can get into the top 100 teams can beat me with a bit of strategy and I guess my 6 star fives (gear 9 but close to 10 and is my second strongest toon power wise) is like a target painted on my team.
