Today's gw (after hardly passing node 6 after few resets).

    I'm level 71 btw.

    Opinions?

That is a very difficult node for a level 71 to handle. I think the team who can beat that would be Teebo (L), Royal Guard, Rey, and maybe Daka and Qui-Gon Jinn, Daka and Leia or Daka and Phasma.

Dooku and Lumi are the real threats, not Sid. A maxed Dooku with Phasma lead will wreck your day. You need to attack him immediately through stealth, or stun him and attack him. Then go after Lumi. Use Teebo's basic to remove TM on Phasma, or his bring low on Chewy if he taunts.

Preaching to the choir, Darth. It ticks me off that I already went through the GW bench growing pains six months ago and now I have to do it again. Only this time it requires building new heroes to extremely high levels before they can even start to help. ****.
Elessedil, that's so true. You can't even get a glimpse of hope until you sever-star, max out and omega every possible synergy squad they made mandatory for mods challenges. And even after that you're still facing 5% drop rate of Mk5 mods, which would still require a fortune to upgrade. And of course, as you're maxing them all out they would change the game again...

True, but the problem with that is this guy is likely dependent on healers to survive. He has to take out Sid first to stop him from spreading heal immunity. Hit Lumi with ability block and focus Sid. The rest of the battle is entirely dependent on his roster.

Soooo this is it then... After a looong never ending thread, EA just refuses to follow up with our GW feedback :(
I'm still stuck w/ impenetrable nodes @ lvl 9 onwards. This is very frustrating.

So I'm not going to totally jump on the bandwagon complaining about how difficult (frustrating is more appropriate probably) GW can be. Sometimes you run into a high geared ben led team with RG protection and high tm. That can truly suck. The old way I would hit 4 or 5 of those in a row. They've fixed it so now that only happens maybe once or twice through the cycle and doesn't seem to be in a row, so I get a recovery node or two in between. I'm perfectly fine with that. It keeps it challenging while still allowing me to apply strategy and change things up when I need to. I don't think I should be able to auto through the entire GW with a single team.

However, the past two days I've run into some really weird nodes at the end. After yesterday's particularly frustrating run, getting ready to see what the last node would bring I was presented with a full 3* team chewie lead all levels high 70s or 80s. So strange. Then the same thing happened today in nodes 11 and 12. 11 was a Zam led team, Zam doesn't even have leader ability!

Something's clearly screwed up somewhere. I would love to see them change it so that you can see all your upcoming opponents through the whole line. That would make it more fun for me to strategize, plan on sui teams if needed, or even have fun fighting some early nodes with an empire team or eworks or something before it all gets real.

Why are you complaining??? Other players are getting totally impossible teams. Don't ruin it for other people

I just had this once too. It was on my last node after an insanely difficult set of droids with Jawa Engineer. They had wiped out my A, B, C, and part of my D team. I killed off the last node with ease with my D/E team.

Someone in my guild mentioned that this happened to them too. Now I know what he meant.

This ... All my other toons are lower level, low geared and low stars, takes a while to build other toons when you still rush for 80 ... I decided to stop for a while from doing activities after I reach 72 so I can grow some secondary chars.

@Chicago151 those are not anti-droid characters, those are called trash characters. You wanna beat droids in GW? How about using a team like Phasma, Rey, QGJ, RG, and whomever? You kill JE and that team falls apart, and since you should have a TM advantage they don't get to go first and destroy your team.

Ok... This makes my point exactly... The characters are completely unbalanced, which is why every uber team has Rey, QGJ and RG. Why even have characters like Ugnaught who are supposed to be able to be specialised characters to work against droids (AoE Stun and 100% bonus damage against droids) if they are useless? Level 80, geared and modded characters should be of similar strength and weakness (but in different areas) so there would be strategy. But there isn't. It is just... make sure you have QGJ, Rey and RG maxed. Why design a game with 100 characters if only 3 of them make any appreciable difference? Certainly can't be what the devs intended.

If it is, this game is destined for the scrap heap in pretty short order for most players I think.

I suggested those characters mainly because a lot of people have them and they're all easy to farm. I could have easily suggested a full on Clone squad but then you'd complain that they're all p2p

I had another enjoyable GW. thanks, developers, for really making an effort. This crap combined with the **** raid rewards makes me wonder why the hell am I playing this game.

Not sure if you are missing my point intentionally or not, but just to clarify... My argument is simple... A roster with 20+ level 80, geared and modded characters should be able to beat GW on some sort of regular basis. Sometimes you will have the right toons, sometimes not. But, that is not how it works. It only works if you have certain toons. Would anyone argue that Ugnaught at the same level, gear and mod is anywhere close to equivalent of Rey, QGJ, RG? My argument is that they should be roughly equivalent. if that isn't the design, then why even have the character?

I understand your point and I'll say that no game is truly balanced. I feel like quite a few of these characters were included in the game without any true purpose. In a perfect world this game would work like rock, paper, scissors but balance is hard.

    @EA_Jesse @CG_NotReallyAJedi @CG_LucifersDaddy @CG_JohnSalera

Why has the player base (your customers) received nothing but silence from you over the past 2 weeks? Are you just ignoring us with the hopes we'll go away? Going away means deleting this game and finding somewhere else to spend our time and money. Is that your end game? The end of the game? Because that's where things are headed. We can't stop the bleeding in our guild due to GW, which then causes issues with Raid. Every day someone else gets **** off and says they're leaving. Even our Leader left, but since he didn't promote anybody else we have no Leader now. No Leader in our guild. That alone causes serious issues.

Wow, am I ever sick of reading comments from people that think we're playing it wrong if we can't complete GW. You folks do realize that GW isn't the same for everyone? I have GARBAGE players in my guild that can complete it every day and then there's people with 25+ 7* characters that haven't finished it once since the change took place. Myself, I'm the top player in my entire guild and have only completed it once since the change. It's not me, it's GW. I can guarantee you that based on nothing more than his 102 page thread and the hundreds of players that are experiencing the same thing.

Since the most current GW update, there is no way on earth to pass the full war. The node 12 - if I get that far is 30% stronger than my best team. My best is 31k and node 12 team is 42k. Every enemy has every mod fully developed all 5 dot all level 15. Each enemy is gear 11. I only have a couple at 9 or 10. It will be months before I will even get in a hit. I wouldn't call that a challenge. It isn't possible. It makes the game much less fun. Why wouldn't the developers give us something challenging but possible? I have tried everything including prepping 4 alt teams, but node 12 can take out all my roster without me even getting one hi in. Not much fun.

Here my GW secret that most likely be patched after telling you this...

I dont have full details of how GW exactly works when it comes to facing our 12 squad nodes but I do know... your power determines your opponent. With this knowledge - I realize that most people think the arena power is what they go by in determing our foe. It actually only takes the last power you used meaning the last squad of 5 you used to fight with.

So here my secret... first node you battle will always be your easiest... and thats a perfect fight to lower your power. I place Lando + RG making my power sitting around 12K. I do not add any other toons because that will only raise my power. You will notice a huge shift in your nodes after the 3rd node is completed.

So just remember keep your power low and by doing that always put in heros that will get the job done... You may not have Lando and I use him because of his AoE and with less toons on my squad means faster turn for my Lando and more damage because of his Leader ability. You may have another hero/toon in mind but as long as you keep it to 2 or 3 toons at the start then you will have the easiest time in GW.

Last thing... after 6 node then you can go all out and use your top 5 toons you normally use and dont be afraid to throw in your thrash toons to burn away their specials and resulting your enemy on cooldowns..

Your welcome! And happy GW killings!!!

Best advice I've gotten from these forums for GW. Use your suicide squads once in the early stages so their TMis up when you need them in the difficult nodes. You don't want them to die early you just need to use them once to defeat a node and have TM up.

Well. Id suggest run an evasive team first on that last node. I prefer old ben, rey, rg, daka, qgj(ive complete every single war since last update came out, and my squad ranking is 32k). They seem to be getting the job done even against dooku teams. Then run a droid team with st hand in there followed by a phasma team. Use the early battles to set up the last node if you must, but on the 10th and 11 make sure to use your top 5 and get their tm as close to 100 as you can. Back out if you must.

Ive been up against team of 40k,42k,38 k. But somehow ive been able to complete them. You may need to back out a few times and switch characters around to get a better algorithm. But i do have to say that when i face a 42k team i normally left with no lv 80s left by the end of the gw. And barely passing the gw. Im a dolphin so i do drop 20 once a month or two. So i don't go crazy with the spending, but ive been playing every day since January and i just recenly completed 150gw victories. So gw is my focus.i dum all my resources so i can finish that intead of a high ranking on the leaderboard(witch im usually at top 150).

    Hope this helped

OK great, great, next step, can you explain exactly how hard your GW Is now? Like pic of node 12 or description whatever you can do.

Another GW secret. If you get over 40k arena power then node 12 and often node 11 are green 3* lvl 78 teams with jawas, lobots, chewies and night sisters. BUT! That's only if you can make it through node 5-10 of Ben/dooku/Phasma/Rex/ackbar leads with a mix of leia, Gs, Rey, sthan, anakin, Secura, b2, RG and qgj teams. It's extremely frustrating and I've only completed GW once in the past week.
