Mod Battles and Daily Activities

Are the mod battles really supposed to count towards the Hard Battles activity rather than the cantina energy? So even though they use cantina energy, they count as a hard battle? Can someone please speak to this? @EA_Jesse

I was wondering the same thing since it is a safe assumption most of us will be shifting away from cantina for awhile.
