Mod reassignment after nerfing? Should we all get a chance to reset our mods?

While i understand why we can't just take away the cost of moving mods, after the recent nerfs, I do feel we should get a do over for free to be able to reset who a mod is set too?

Is this reasonable or not?

We are given 700K+ credits a day. And you are asking EA to pay you 30K to move a few mods around.
  • how are we given 700k free credits? if you mean by GW, etc, that is by playing the game

asking them to give us refunds when we paid for something is reasonable. people spent real cash, even if you disagree if it "should" be worth it/appropriate for a whale to spend, EA allows us to buy credits, energy, etc for real cash.

when you pay for something, you should get what is offered.

they didnt make minor changes, they made major changes.

yes, EA should refund crystals or credits to those the community that spent money

credits are a fake currency which we will need to use again for whatever the next toon meta becomes. Cash is a realy currency that was spent.
  • 85 crystals gets you 68K. Small potatoes. In regards to mod removal/reset. I know it's principal, but let's choose our battles here.

Don't get me wrong, I believe they should send out something. They still need to rectify things. But on a corporate level, that takes time/approval. We are dealing with a corporation at the end of the day. Team Leaders, Managers, General Managers, all the way up, have to approve the "refund" and that's not a snap decision. EA is massive. Massive. It's not one tiny office where one guy just says "give 'em some crystals".

I didn't spend a ton, I think 700'ish crystals and 1-1.5M CR on manual download day so I ended up with what I consider a pretty awesome mod set. Am I mad? No. It's a game. Did I feel "taken"? Slightly. Was I FOR the mod nerf anyway? You bet.

I think for longevity, the game is now stable. Holistically. We can nit-pick away at specific isolated stats, mod-function swap, whatever.

I do agree with paying for a product, but you got what you paid for, crystals and credits. Where those purchases were applied is probably some eye-crossing legal loophole because the game never states where your purchases must be used. It's your choice. You thinking you're getting a 6* mod on a challenge SIM is just thinking. If the purchase guarantee were legally applicable, I'll go throw a quarter in a slot machine and file suit to the casino because I didn't win the jackpot. Now, if you purchased mods from the mod STORE (myself included), that is a different story all together and those purchasers need to be rectified first, but I think this post is long enough so I'll leave that seed there as it is. Point there is that if you go buy a Mercedes, and wake up in the morning and it's a Honda...yeah.

Tactical reimbursement for game-currency? Yes. I feel that would be appropriate. Immediately, I'm not counting on it.

Sorry to throw down such a long post on your thread OP, you caught me on some down time. I think this last paragraph was the moral of my story. I think.

basically, agree. also agree on choosing battles. just annoyed as I cant imagine they actually did thorough testing, needed all of 1-2 day of releasing this to us, and then suddenly realized what a problem it was. I also think they responded to comments about poor reviews and people not spending cash.

I like mods, but dont like they nerfed things (ie potency) to then make us need mods. it just seems like another way to pay when most of us wanted another way to play.
  • Maybe a One-Time Reassignment-Gift from CG EA?

With this item, all your Mods (are belong to us) are removed without any cost, bur further removal after using this one-time trinket will cost as usual.

I think a more accurate casino analogy would be; you walk into a casino and buy £100 worth of chips, but when you get to the table the croupier tells you the chips are only worth £10...
