The price structure is terrible. It's designed to hook the weak willed into overspending. Plus the pacf pricing has been insane for what's being offered.

    Compared to?

What would you like it to be compared to @pay2win? This game and all the other mobile games should just have a fixed price amount. An upfront cost such as $19.99 for the complete game.

You could compare it to similar mobile games. This games price structure isn't much different than the majority of other mobile games.

Just because you want something to be doesn't mean it should be.

There is a reason most mobile games are free. A free game is more likely to be downloaded by a large group of people. The pricing model that is being used has been used plenty of times before. Game developers know people will spend money to gain an advantage. Why put your game in a market of 100,000 people only willing to spend $20 when you can put your game in a market of 1,000,000 people with 200,000 willing to spend over $20?

    Warcraft upfront 60 + 15/mth = 240 a year with expansion

You play this game how much a day for free?

If you an pay that for one mmo case closed

    Netflix
    Apple Music
    Xbox live
    Psn

You realize we micro transaction our lives away already and if you as up how much you spend just to connect to Xbox alone (Internet + live + game + dlc + multiple games) you already lost this fight

We created this insanity , you just love this game enough to want more of it

That's the irony we all love it so much we want more more more and more content! The difference is we each value judge what that means to us

Carry on with the hate it's the one thing the Internet has given us , unbridled hatred and bullying of others and the erosion of civility

@pay2win , I understand why they do it from a business standpoint. That doesn't mean it's right. As far as I'm concerned, IAP is as bad as selling crack to kids. I view it in such a harsh light.

    @Vampire_X , I don't play online games besides this.

No kids would get this game if it cost upfront my kids don't get paid apps ever and people would not pay money upfront for apps like that and I am sure you don't either because you don't know till you play right?

But I'm with you on how much I love this game!!

And I think Mercedes, Apple, Levi jeans, Replay brand and playstations should be lower priced so I can buy them all.
lesson 1 in economics, question and demand (market research). Demanding lower prices for real?

These companies aren't a problem though. Levi is not selling jeans for $5,000. A Playstation is cheaper than upgrading a premium character to 7*

    Supply and demand, even worse...

So, the supply of all characters is infinite, price is roughly $1000 to 7* a character.
What is the demand for $1000 7* characters?? Not very much I can guarantee!!!!

How much more of that supply do you believe they would sell if 7* toons were $100 instead??
I can bet thousands of F2P players would be on board. Sadly, they'd probably make way more money...
Levi's jeans don't costa 5000$, but an Armani suit can.

I think you miss a basic point of economics. If someone is willing to pay huge amounts of money for premium items, you have to create a way he can. The game already has free and good chars (Lumi and Sid are Free, even). Then have some other guys cheap: Dooku for 5$. Or 50$ Barris. And then you have 2000$ rosters of 7* Qui Gon Jins. That's the smart business thing. You cover all bases, for all kind of customers.

Saying it in a different way: imagine they put all current content at 50$ per 7* char. All of them. Would you be happy? I'm going to suppose you would, based on your posts. You can get your Leia and QGJ and FOTP. But THEN they put three additional chars, Master Yoda, Emperor Palpatine and Jedi Luke, which happen go be better than QGJ, Leia and FOTP. Those new chars cost 1000$. Would you be less happy? Why? You still could get your Leia and QGJ for the origen you found ok. Some people buy BMW instead of Ford. Yet some other people buy Rolls Royce. Claiming that car sellers shouldn't sell Rolls because 99% can't afford it, isn't helpful. Those who can't afford Rolls can buy Chevrolets or whatever

So glad to see more people with logic and rational joined in on this thread to curb the "wants" of some people vs the facts of the data and that no one is forced to spend any money.

If another Dem wins. Your country will be in a much bigger hurt than it already is. Socialism will not help fix the problems in America, only the population waking up to what is going on will. And to do that you need to give up instant gratification, the desire for tons of material objects and stop the constant attack on the family and value system that used to exist in that country. Don't get me wrong I love games too but games like this, micro-transactions everywhere not just games combined with the hours spent on social media and TV. The amount of time ppl spend doing nothing useful is massive and the amount of money they spend just increases because you don't see how the little bit here and little bit there add up. I'm in no way against capitalism and don't blame the businesses. The people have asked for this structure and will suffer the consequences for not being aware of the ramifications. Sadly America affects the rest of the world through the global economy so everyone else over time will feel the hurt too.

Wow.. You have no clue what I was referring to. I just don't the people as a "whole'' need to be protected.

Telling people they need a "personal savior" is demeaning to everyone. I think people should be smart enough to make their own decisions and adult enough to live by those decisions right or wrong. The attitude that people need "protecting from themselves" is short sighted if not dangerous. No one is entitled to anything in life.

Anyway, my bad for the unclear comment.. My point was that the passion people have for this game is crazy.

We don't need a "keyboard savior'' to protect us from ourselves.

I agree 100% about no one needs to be saved from themselves, but the point still stands and it is a reflection of our "real life" outside of the gaming world. All of this still stems from society and what creates the thought process people share here. People are "waiting" for a savior and expect others to fix their problems for them and protect them, that is why you have people trying to stand up to "protect" others, although it usually doesn't translate well and is out of place, as we saw with the attempts on this forum throughout many threads.

At least half the thread and what people have been saying, was trying to use real world examples to relate to how IAP functions. From a psychology/sociology standpoint it is very interesting to study the niche groups within different types of gaming environments and how it relates to our lives outside the game. Lots and lots of correlations occur.
