What will be in the next update?

There will be increasing of level cap and gear level VIII right?

I assume any new characters will surely be welcomed but.... will there be new chromium-exclusive characters? I just hope there are some mechanisms like stop dropping shards/characters for the already 7 stars, or simply a shard recycle system.

Actually I have read the post. My major concern is the new characters which is not mentioned. I don't know whether it's a hint of "no" to my question.

Everything that's official is in that linked topic, it's all that they chose to reveal at this point so nobody here can 100% confirm there will be new Chromium only characters or not, all you can do is stay tuned.

I'm just hoping some guy from the team can answer my question since it's the official forum here.

We need some upgrade notes to be rolled out before the update so we know what to expect. What kind of poor business practices are these?

The update isn't out yet. They could release patch notes within the next hour for all we know.
Complaining about poor business practices because they don't do what you want and when you want is pretty lame.
