In regards to Luke, absolutely. He's only lvl 50 4* gear VI for me right now, and crits for 3k+ on his second skill. Easy to farm. Put him in a Sid leader team and he does serious work.

My level 57 luke with VI gear hits for 2-4k on average and seen him crit upwards of 14k depending on buffs

Geonosian has the assist feature but luke has stun. My luke is 4*

I have a fully geared Lv 60 7* Luke. To be honest, i was really hyped when i got him, I thought his skills were awesome, with all the stun and defense down. He is still good when maxed out, the problem is, without Leia and her x2 crit chance, the chances that Luke will crit on his special are very very low, so is the chance to stun/defense down someone.

Why?

Because most of the characters you will probably face in the Arena have a pretty high resist or natural tenacity. Luke works best in a combination with Leia and Boba (as Leader with 45% extra crit dmg).

I don't use him that often anymore for arena. I recommend to focus on Kylo Ren, if you are farming shards.
