We’re looking for an experienced Development Manager or Director to join the team behind Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, working closely with the development team to support our production pipelines. This individual will have a combination of skills that come from previous experience managing software development projects involving various disciplines.

As a Development Manager or Director for a mobile game at EA, you will:
  1. Work with various teams and departments to develop processes and pipelines needed to deliver game assets on time, and to quality
  2. Alleviate the bottlenecks, manual processes, and risks involved in the delivery
  3. Be held to high quality standards through guidance, leadership, and mentoring

  • Maintain regular communication with team and key stakeholders to provide project status updates
  • Build and maintain schedules to ensure achievement of production milestones
  • Manage change requests and obtain appropriate approvals
  • Articulate the impact of each change request on project schedule, budget, and resources
  • Continually evaluate team efficiency and tailor processes to increase effectiveness
  • Extract and use data to visualize trends and improve the predictability of key deliverables
  • Participate in broader project roadmap planning to inform milestone contents and timing
  • Anticipate and communicate milestone risks and roadblocks
  • Manage and monitor external licensor approvals
  • Manage career development of direct reports through the use of 1:1s and production of individual development plans

  • Experience leading one or more aspects of software development
  • Able to interpret project schedules in order to identify scope and dependencies
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Able to work on complex problems requiring in-depth analysis of various factors
  • Understanding of agile methodologies
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong listening and communication skills
  • Able to communicate team and project goals in a clear and concise manner
  • Capable of managing performance and professional development of direct reports
  • Understanding of various disciplines and interdependencies that play into software development (e.g., programming, art, design, and audio)
