5 star mods can now be purchased through mod shipments

Prev13
Title... Are you excited ladies and gentlemen? There are 5 star mods all over my mod shipments. Ones from challenges I haven't completed, such as offense mods. Theyre rather pricey aswell, coming in at 2,300 crystals or either 2.9m in credits. I have a pic but no clue how to upload it, so that's great. This is a solid update tbh.

Here's a funny example. A grey color 5* arrow (slot 2) mod is 2,016 crystals..

Lol I just posted the exact thing @EscapeArtist51
  • ahahhaha off their rockers

I hope people know the differences between the colours. Stay away from these mods they are not worth any crystals.

Any mod not yellow level 1 tier 5 or higher isn't worth your investment. Even then you want the correct stats on that said yellow mod.

Yellow mods = all stats off the bat that will level with each increase.

Oh true lol. Bro I'm furious these mods look epic and I'm sittin over here broke. I found a mod with +8 speed but it cost 3.4M credits. Don't they know I'm a peasant?

i bought a 1* purple arrow offence mod with primary speed stat, 114 crystals today
    sec stats:
    192 protection
    0.38%health
    0.58% protection

sometimes they may be worth it.

    lvl 15 stats:
    17 speed
    192 protection
    0.38% health
    3.01% protection
    0.81% tenacity
  • That's essentially $20 bucks for ONE Mod? Are you kidding? I'd Pay $20 for all six 5-star Mods and if I can pick my secondar stats. LOL! Usually you price something very high when it's a luxury / premium item that you can't get elsewhere or demand is so high that people will pay anything. I'm going to say that the Mods fall into neither category.

And the color mods where you can see more than the primary stats are even higher. I see one for over 3,000 in my shipments currently.

I might start buying these AFTER I see how the 6/7* mods will be distributed. 2000 is about 10 days of saving for me. Slow but not terrible.
They groaned, they stirred, they all uprose, Nor spoke, nor moved their eyes; It had been strange, even in a dream, To have seen those dead men rise.

I agree with this. While in today's environment I would spend 2k crystals on a yellow mod with the primary AND secondaries that I want, I'm not going to do it until I see the raid drops from the new raid. If they drop T6/T7 mods, then this would all be wasted. 2k crystals is about 8-10 days for me too.

No kidding? ****... that's crazy. I hope they hire that "Game Balance Specialist" or whatever that job is very soon because they need somebody to help balance this game, characters, and definitely the pricing structure. Thinking back to my Clash of Clans days, I could do a lot with the gems I bought. Or even Hearthstone, very reasonable pricing for stuff and honestly I haven't even felt a need to buy anything like I do in this game. This game is getting very close to "buy-or-die".

3.4? YIKES. Refreshing for speed primaries and there's a +4 one for like 2.17 million.
    Meanwhile, down on the farm....
  • They're still not showing up for me.... what mod challenges do you have finished for these to show up?

The highest I have right now is 3226 crystals. That's like $25. lol

Their tanking sales must have led them to do this in desperation. What happened to the 'clear all tier 2 battles and mk5 mods will be available' rule?

Did you get the update? I haven't done anything other than Health and tenacity.

And yeah bro.. these prices are pretty heavy lol. I'm a window shopper. I keep refreshing my mod shipments even though I only got like 200 crystals and 1 mil.

    Pure and utter greed....

Then tier 6 and 7 around the corner... people will fall for this lot then complain when they bring the next lot in
    ..

    What's next tier 7 mods for 9500....

@EA_Jesse these prices are a joke right?, please tell me that marketing is having a laugh.

30 dollars for 1 mod :(, this is why my thread library has so much support.

Know the gamers and know how to balance profits and fun. This has me insanely worried that this is ok.

Not sure why people are surprised. Their $99 Jedi pack gives you a few 4* Jedi and a days worth of farming droids.

So about 25$ * 6 = 150$ to gear up one character ! So about 750$ to gear up your arena team, seems totally reasonable.
  • I think there are some incredibly talented people at EA that work on this game, the graphics and many aspects of this game are very good; the visual especially. When it comes to game balance and definitely product sales, there is really something missing on the team. Not everybody can be great at everything, but they really need to find somebody good at the game balance and product sales.

  • Sounds like they're kicking off an exclusive one for themselves called the, "We appreciate your money!" event :D
  • Logic would say

Heroes need an average of 2 raid items at 1400-1615 each
So since each hero needs six mods they should be under 1400

Not almost triple the price per one.....

I agree people that worked on character design and graphics in general are very talented, abilities are usually very fun and cool. But they need to check what other games are doing in terms of products sales and QA.
