You should not have to wait till its your turn to retreat

Developers since you have changed retreat to just force close you should not have to wait till it is your turn. For example FOTP just one shot Daka why should I have to wait for Sid and Dooku and Phasma to attack before I force close sorry retreat. Fix this problem. And while your at it change The retreat button to do over because that is what it has become.

Restart the match with a different team composition (swap one char for another) and it's possible you will get a different start to the match.
I hate giving this advice but sadly cheese is all that there is for "strategy" in GW now.

I know. Just by moving the same 5 characters around makes the ai attack differently. Makes bad ai look even worse. But that's a rant for another thread.
